Excellent smartwatch
I have had this watch for ages now and its still going strong. As a diabetic, I wanted a watch that would allow me to see my glucose numbers at a glance rather than looking on my phone. I downloaded an app that works well with the Fitbit for this and it really helps me monitor my numbers. The other options such as exercise, steps, heart rate, etc are all really good to and the watch is customizable for your needs. I can also take and send calls, messages, texts, etc so thats very cool and makes me feel all futuristic. I set up my credit card on it as well so I can just put in my pin and tap my watch when paying for something and most of the time it works (I occasionally find a machine that won't accept it but its rare) Its held up well over the past few years with a few minor scratches but it still charges well and stays charged all day long and sometimes several days at a time. I didn't like the silicone band that came with it so I purchased several cloth bands and its a pretty standard size so its not hard to find bands that work with it. I think its a great buy for a smartwatch and looks nice too as its not overly large

I love my FitBit Versa 4!
This is actually my 4th Fitbit Fitness Tracker and I really like how they work. After a few years, though, they stop working perfectly so I am sending the old one back with the warranty I purchased. But I do LOVE it!!!

I love it!
I got this on a black Friday sale, on a whim. I am pretty picky about jewelry and wearing things on my hands or wrists. The set up was so easy, I have an Google Pixel 9 and it integrated seamlessly with my phone. It is not heavy at all, its really lightweight and it looks so sleek and nice. The fit is a little weird, the face is a bit bulky and I do catch it on my sleeves or shopping bags. Most importantly though, it does accurately measure my heartrate and sleep. It does a great job tracking my workouts and walks. It really does everything I wanted it to do. I also live that I can customize by switching the straps and face protectors.

Great smartwatch but cannot use Adguard or Quad9 DNS
One star deducted because the app does not allow you to use special DNS servers such as Adguard or Quad9 and never tells you that little detail. Apparently the app accesses websites for ads or content that Adguard blocks. Certain app functions often may not work such as installing new watch faces, tiles, etc if you do not use standard DNS servers such as those assigned by your ISP. The app syncs with the watch for data, sleep tracking and even the time of day. I returned one watch for a replacement due to sync failures. The replacement Fitbit watch syncs perfectly but the DNS issue remains. Cons: Very limited selection of apps and tiles that can be installed on the watch. Requires standard DNS server to add new watch faces Cannot use Quad9, Adguard, etc. Pros: Sleep tracking works well and provides useful info on time spent in each sleep stage - deep, light, and REM 5-6 days on a single charge so daily charging is not required Watch can turn on the display based on a wrist turn without needing a button press Easy to suppress display coming on while sleeping

Worked a little, then it didn't............
This is a warning to anyone who is considering purchasing this Fitbit model now - November 2024. DON'T DO IT! I bought this in April of 2023. When I got it, it seemed to be working fine. However, as the months have gone on - and as Google is slowly eliminating Fitbit altogether - my Versa 4 has started to malfunction more and more. Not only that, but the Fitbit app - for $10 per month - is no longer what it was at one point. Google is slowly taking away features of the app - and the watch itself. This company now, owned by Google, is being eliminated - do not waste your money. Go with an Apple Watch - or better yet, Garmin. Since my purchase of this watch, I've noticed a ton of odd incidents with it. First off, the GPS no longer works - so it doesn't track mileage, or speed or any of those types of things on runs, walks, hikes, bike rides, none of them. The sleep tracker is awful - and has always been awful. It can't tell when I'm asleep or awake. The heart rate data is wrong much of the time - showing higher heart rates than reality, especially if it is wet with sweat, pool water or the shower. My heart rate could be 70 - but the Fitbit is showing that it's 150. That is a daily occurrence. When I measure the "stats" with my Strava app on my iPhone, the Fitbit is always off.....sometimes by large amounts. The app features are slowly being changed and diminished as well - so it's not as useful as it was at one point in time. And, bugs - I've noticed lately that my Fitbit won't turn on sometimes. It just stops working. The wrist movement to turn the face of the watch on - that broke in the first month. Hasn't worked since. And as much as I want to like Active Zone Minutes, it's just not accurate. My heart rate will be 70, but my Fitbit will show 140 in the shower or sitting in the pool......so I'll get Active Zone Minutes for those "activities". LOL And one of the most frustrating parts for me is Google's elimination of Strava uploads from their Fitbits. When I bought it, Google allowed automatic uploads to Strava to see your rides, runs, walks, hikes, workouts, etc. Within a month after purchase of my Fitbit, Google eliminated that feature - and you can't even manually upload activities from a file.....it just shows it being empty. Fitbit covered for them by saying something must be wrong - but I found out through Google that they shut that feature down in order to drive Google Pixel sales(which don't work with iPhones, apparently). Today, Fitbit is ridiculous. It should be gone heading into 2025.....after Christmas sales. Do yourself a favor - spend the extra money on an Apple Watch or better, a Garmin. Garmin has every feature you could need or want - and then some. Yes, it cost more - but they work too! And Garmin isn't shutting down - that's why they're making the products they do. More accurate, more features, auto uploads to Strava, plus advanced features for fitness and training. All you could want or need. Even an Apple Watch has WAY more features than a Fitbit. Treat yourself right - and get one of those two instead.

Good Fitbit
This Fitbit has held up nicely. I have had it for 10 months and it is still working. It needs to be charged more often than when I first purchased it but still does a great job of tracking my calories burned, steps taken and sleep schedule. I have not swam with it on. I’m scared to, waterproof is not really a reliable guarantee

Finally, a watch I'll wear every day
I am not the kind of person that wanted a wristwatch, let alone a smart watch. I don't need that level of connectivity, and I have the unfortunate tendency to destroy nicer watches because of clumsiness and absent-mindedness. But, I do enjoy working out. I love having data when I want to see it. And, importantly, I work in a profession where I would benefit from having a wrist watch to check the time. It's with that mindset that I finally caved and purchased the Fitbit Charge a few years ago. I liked it, but it crashed a bunch of times and eventually refused to reboot. So, I started looking for alternatives. I found the Versa but resisted, as I really don't want or need most smart watch features. Then Black Friday sales came along and I took the plunge. I am glad I did. The watch is durable, easy to use, fits well, and does all of the things I want it to do. I mostly use it to track steps, heartrate, workouts, check the weather, and set timers at work. It does not have a catchy or flashy look, which I am more than fine with. My biggest concerns are whether or not the screen can take a hit (it does) and if I'll fry the darn thing when I inevitably forget I'm wearing it while showering or swimming (it's waterproof). I don't use a lot of the features on this thing. I tried syncing with my Google Wallet, but I find it way easier to just use my phone or wallet -- two things I am very reluctant to travel without. My phone is on silent most days, so I guess it's nice to get alerts when I've missed a call, but I really don't pay much attention to it. I've never bothered with the advanced features for health monitoring, though I guess for a person experiencing health difficulties or someone wildly focused on wellness would find the features useful. The Fitbit app is a nice bonus, and the premium features include some solid workouts and tools for holding yourself accountable to fitness goals. I've dabbled with these when really focused on personal goals, and seen the usual mixed results of someone who will only somewhat commit themselves to diet and workout goals. Still, nice to have. In a world where most smart watches are double the price for a slew of features I don't want or need, this is an excellent product.

Excellent all-around fitness smartwatch with accurate tracking and long battery life
The Fitbit Versa 4 strikes a really nice balance between fitness tracking and everyday smartwatch features. The watch is lightweight and comfortable enough to wear all day and night, which is important if you’re using the sleep tracking and 24/7 heart rate monitoring. The display is bright and easy to read outdoors, and the touchscreen feels responsive when navigating through workouts, notifications, and health metrics. One of the most useful features is the Daily Readiness Score, which gives a helpful overview of how recovered your body is before starting a workout. The built-in GPS is also convenient for runs or walks since you don’t need to carry your phone to track distance and pace. With over 40 exercise modes, it’s easy to log different activities, and the automatic activity tracking works well for everyday movement. Battery life is another strong point. It easily lasts several days on a single charge, which is refreshing compared to many smartwatches that require daily charging. The sleep tracking and health insights in the Fitbit app are also very detailed and easy to understand. One helpful tip is to wear the watch slightly snug during workouts so the heart rate sensor maintains better contact with the skin. It’s also worth exploring the Fitbit app settings to customize notifications and activity reminders for a better daily experience. Overall, the Versa 4 is a reliable and comfortable fitness smartwatch that delivers strong health tracking, good battery life, and useful features for both workouts and everyday wear.
