Review: Best purchase for our home so far - Since we bought this in late November, which I suggest getting since it was newely half off its retail price of 600 (gotta love black Friday), I have only had to get out the old vacuum once. I was worried that we would have to get it out more than that to get under our cabinets in the kitchen, but that is luckily not a problem. If I see something under there now I just push it to the middle of the floor if I know shark is going to clean that day. So here we go... Pros: -it literally cleans about 95% of your floors. Hair is not a problem, tangling on the roller is not a problem, larger debris is generally not a problem (I had some things here and there get missed the first go around, but I mostly see that it has problems on carpets, which we have mostly hardwood floors so not a big deal). -it mapped out our first floor, which is sizeable, in about 2 go cleanings. I was worried about this as a large amount of reviews stated that it took 30 or more cleanings to map their house out and it still didn't map it correctly. The one thing I noticed about these reviews is that they are mostly from from a year ago, so I'm assuming that there has been a software update since then to address this issue. It was super efficient at mapping. - I see this as a pro, but some might not, is that it teaches you to adjust your cleanliness behaviors. I did a ton of research on different vacuums and this one is in the top 5 (as of right now). I highly recommend this to anyone with similar lay out as us (mostly hard wood floors with area rugs). I found the cons to be just nit picking at its performance, and overall it makes our life 80x easier. I give it a 4.5 out 5 for my personal home and I hope this review was helpful. 1 year update: Dog hair: Still going strong and still highly recommend for those with mostly hard wood floors or linoleum. In fact, I recommended it to my mom and dad and now they have one and love it. We did finally get to test it with some serious dog hair. We had an Australian Shepard (which has super thick and clingy fur) and another dog that visited for several days. Both are extremely active and were all over our floors and our one carpet area. They left a ton of fur and it did take 3 or 4 cleanings to get up about 80% of the hair. Whatever was left over was bunched up on the carpet and was easily removable thanks to shark. Just be prepared to wait a few days for the fur to be cleaned up in the carpet. If it's hardwood then it is cleaned up instantly. Hair and roller blade: I have not had any issues with the roller blades and hair tangling. I had to untangle some hair that rolled to the center twice. It is an easy fix. Take scissors and a quick snip and boom solved the problem. The big thing is that it doesn't hinder the cleaning ability of the vacuum. Parts: I haven't had to replace any of the parts yet on it. Just keep up with monthly maintenance and it will hold up. Clean the filters and the dust cup monthly and it will run smoothly. The battery life is still the same too. No issues with battery degradation. Errors and software stuff: so the errors are minor with this robot. It is the occasional bumper is stuck and that the dust cup needs to be emptied, which is nice if you forget to keep up with maintenance. The only issue I have with the software is that it used to be able to clean specific rooms when I originally got it, but now it doesn't allow me to do that at all. It's a bummer since sometimes I still stuff in the kitchen and I just want it to do that room, not an entire cleaning again. Also, and this is a small gripe, but I wish that I could have the robot automatically go to max suction mode every cleaning. Instead, I have to go to my shark app on my phone and change it from normal mode (which is its default cleaning mode) to max. Overall, I would still say this is a 4.5 out of 5. Minor issues, but still totally worth it. Review: Simply Amazing!!! - The one word to describe this product is "AMAZING!!". We keep a very clean house but this Sharp Robot Vacuum & Mop is simply amazing and it will literally go everywhere like completely under all the beds, under couches, dining room tables, under China cabinets and into the most tiny nooks which used to be a pain to manually vacuum. When I say "go under", I mean thoroughly clean as if you were on your hands and knees hand vacuuming the floor or hand mopping the floor right up to the baseboards. To do this good of a cleaning, with a manual vacuum, would mean moving the beds and couches and moving all the chairs out from your tables. Do you remember how hard and tiring that is? To do all that in a 2,500 sqft home, would take 2-3 hours. It is a lot of work!! To sit there and watch this robot work is a marvel, and the "matrix" cleaning system is a blessing as no part of the floor or baseboards are missed, even under furniture. This is such hard work to do manually, it is why most people only do deep cleaning such as this 2-4x per year with surface area vacuuming weekly but with this Shark Robot it can be done 2-3x per week or as often as you need or want it done. Programing it was a piece of cake. The Robot got the lay of our house in one pass and by the way, our house has a lot of "obstacles". Lots!! I wondered if we needed to move anything, but the robot navigated the house better than a person. I thought I might need to hand vacuum under my desk because there is a 1/2 thick glass chair matt there and the space behind my desk is rather tight, with the desk chair and side chairs, with a cabinet and a credenza. NOPE! The Shark Robot navigated it perfectly. It vacuumed every inch of the office, under the cabinet, over the glass matt and behind the desk in the cubby where your feet go. I was blown away in awe and amazement. I even used the white glove test behind my desk and not a speck of dirt. We also have a lot of area rugs and the manual vacuum used to always get stuck on them and jam. I wondered if we were going to have to remove all our area rugs. We probably have 10. (Moving them would be a lot of work too). NOPE! The Shark Robot navigated everyone of them and cleaned them thoroughly. No jams and no stops. The Shark did GREAT! This Shark Robot Vacuum and Mop has exceeded my wildest expectations. I read hundreds of reviews and research the heck of the Top 10. I am glad we chose the Shark Robot because it has been great!! We have two dogs and all luxury vinyl flooring and porcelain tile throughout the home. We also have about 10 area rugs and (2) 36" x 45", 1/2" thick glass floor matts, and the Shark Robot navigates over them and cleans them thoroughly. We also allow the Shark robot to clean the entire house. We do not have any "no-go zones". Though, they can be programmed in, if you desire, we wanted the entire home vacuumed and mopped. The noise level is noticeable but not as loud as a regular vacuum. I work from home and I am on the phone a lot. The noise does not distract from my calls. An outside grass weed eater or blower is far louder. (Those will disrupt my calls, but the Shark Robot sound does not distract). You can also easily watch and listen to the T.V. even when the Shark is in the same room; it is not distracting. A few other super cool features are that the Robot will call out or beep when it is returning to the charging and docking station. I LOVE that it knows when to return to its charging station and when it needs to empty itself. It even has a self cleaning function at its docking station. The makers of this robot have thought of everything. The app on your phone works like a charm. The Shark Robot is super smart and learns quickly. It will pick up things that my manual vacuum rejected such as popcorn kernels, dog food pellets, peanuts (without the shell), as well as all manner of dirt, grime and paper scraps as well as dog hair and fur. I think the price we paid was a bargain in terms of the quality of the machine and its capabilities. Thankfully there's only one expendable HEPA filter in the base and a motor associated filter. Consider the design size enlargement necessary to accommodate an integral vacuum filter. Otherwise filters can be identified in the User Manual; which should be read first, thoroughly. Do not use soap to clean filters and allow 24hrs to dry. **Q: Does this product also mop?** A: No, this model does not have the mop feature **Q: Does the AI utilize some type of object recognition library? if so, does it recognize loose cords or animal refuse?** A: It can tell there is something in front of it but doesn't "know" what it is. Mine found a pile of dog doo and spread it around. I has choked on cords upon occasion too though most often it just goes over them. It's a bummer since sometimes I still stuff in the kitchen and I just want it to do that room, not an entire cleaning again. Also, and this is a small gripe, but I wish that I could have the robot automatically go to max suction mode every cleaning. Instead, I have to go to my shark app on my phone and change it from normal mode (which is its default cleaning mode) to max. Overall, I would still say this is a 4.5 out of 5. Minor issues, but still totally worth it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simply Amazing!!! *by N***3 on September 10, 2025* The one word to describe this product is "AMAZING!!". We keep a very clean house but this Sharp Robot Vacuum & Mop is simply amazing and it will literally go everywhere like completely under all the beds, under couches, dining room tables, under China cabinets and into the most tiny nooks which used to be a pain to manually vacuum. When I say "go under", I mean thoroughly clean as if you were on your hands and knees hand vacuuming the floor or hand mopping the floor right up to the baseboards. To do this good of a cleaning, with a manual vacuum, would mean moving the beds and couches and moving all the chairs out from your tables. Do you remember how hard and tiring that is? To do all that in a 2,500 sqft home, would take 2-3 hours. It is a lot of work!! To sit there and watch this robot work is a marvel, and the "matrix" cleaning system is a blessing as no part of the floor or baseboards are missed, even under furniture. This is such hard work to do manually, it is why most people only do deep cleaning such as this 2-4x per year with surface area vacuuming weekly but with this Shark Robot it can be done 2-3x per week or as often as you need or want it done. Programing it was a piece of cake. The Robot got the lay of our house in one pass and by the way, our house has a lot of "obstacles". Lots!! I wondered if we needed to move anything, but the robot navigated the house better than a person. I thought I might need to hand vacuum under my desk because there is a 1/2 thick glass chair matt there and the space behind my desk is rather tight, with the desk chair and side chairs, with a cabinet and a credenza. NOPE! The Shark Robot navigated it perfectly. It vacuumed every inch of the office, under the cabinet, over the glass matt and behind the desk in the cubby where your feet go. I was blown away in awe and amazement. I even used the white glove test behind my desk and not a speck of dirt. We also have a lot of area rugs and the manual vacuum used to always get stuck on them and jam. I wondered if we were going to have to remove all our area rugs. We probably have 10. (Moving them would be a lot of work too). NOPE! The Shark Robot navigated everyone of them and cleaned them thoroughly. No jams and no stops. The Shark did GREAT! This Shark Robot Vacuum and Mop has exceeded my wildest expectations. I read hundreds of reviews and research the heck of the Top 10. I am glad we chose the Shark Robot because it has been great!! We have two dogs and all luxury vinyl flooring and porcelain tile throughout the home. We also have about 10 area rugs and (2) 36" x 45", 1/2" thick glass floor matts, and the Shark Robot navigates over them and cleans them thoroughly. We also allow the Shark robot to clean the entire house. We do not have any "no-go zones". Though, they can be programmed in, if you desire, we wanted the entire home vacuumed and mopped. The noise level is noticeable but not as loud as a regular vacuum. I work from home and I am on the phone a lot. The noise does not distract from my calls. An outside grass weed eater or blower is far louder. (Those will disrupt my calls, but the Shark Robot sound does not distract). You can also easily watch and listen to the T.V. even when the Shark is in the same room; it is not distracting. A few other super cool features are that the Robot will call out or beep when it is returning to the charging and docking station. I LOVE that it knows when to return to its charging station and when it needs to empty itself. It even has a self cleaning function at its docking station. The makers of this robot have thought of everything. The app on your phone works like a charm. The Shark Robot is super smart and learns quickly. It will pick up things that my manual vacuum rejected such as popcorn kernels, dog food pellets, peanuts (without the shell), as well as all manner of dirt, grime and paper scraps as well as dog hair and fur. I think the price we paid was a bargain in terms of the quality of the machine and its capabilities. You just can't beat its cleaning capabilities and the fact that your time is freed up to do other things while the Shark Robot does a thorough cleaning. (My first job right out of college 30+ years ago was working for ServiceMaster managing the cleaning of hospitals. It was super tough work getting those hospitals spotless and clean, but I am afraid to say this Shark Robot (had it existed then) would have replaced us all and done a far superior job. Not beating up on us, but the Shark Robot NEVER tires; people do. This Shark Robot vacuums and mops at its highest capacity and with maximum accuracy all the time, and on-demand, and never tires. It is going to do a super cleaning job every time you need it to and on-demand night or day. It is simply amazing!! We rate it A++! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ $350 is Reasonable. Great for Disabled People. Works Well With Long Hair From People and Pets. *by K***O on March 4, 2026* We have a fairly messy house, 4 kids, 4 dogs, and 4 cats. Everyone has long hair, and I am disabled, so unable to keep up with the house. I never thought we'd be able to use a robot due to clutter. My sister recommended one, so I started looking. I got this, I didn't get too helpful, I was sure I'd be sending it back. PROS: - My floors are clean, lol. The living room carpet has never looked this good. The kitchen floor looks great! The cat litter that gets spread on our bedroom floor is gone. - When it gets full, it takes itself to its base, empties, and picks up where it left off. - If the battery is about to die (15%), it goes back to its base. - When it empties into the base, the base holds the same amount of dirt as my full-sized, upright Dyson. I've only emptied it 3 times in 2 weeks of daily use, and 2 of those times were when the floor was in rough shape before we got it in better shape. CONS: - It takes FOR-EV-ER to set this thing up. Having it map the whole house and then fine-tune each room was a nightmare. It took hours, like 8 of them (not all in one go). Even now that it's mostly set up, I STILL have to tweak some of the areas. - We did have issues with the hair getting caught in the roller the first few times we used it. It will stop and say, "My roller is stuck." You turn it over, press 2 clips to take the roller out, cut the hair, and put it back. It takes seconds. - It doesn't do corners or edges at all. You're still going to be using your upright vacuum hose for those areas. - The mop setting is good for maintenance cleaning, but it's not going to get any marks off. We ended up doing a good clean of the kitchen floor to get stains up, and now we just use the robot to keep it clean and smell good. - It can get loud. When it goes to its dock and empties, it's VERY LOUD, about the sound of a regular vacuum, but it only stays that loud for a few seconds. When it's sweeping/vacuuming our tile floor, it is pretty loud. Not quite as loud as a regular vacuum, but it's loud. Barely noticeable on carpet. - It's not the best at navigating some things. Some things I know it can fit under it will look at and go around, other things I know it can't get past (8 chairs at the dining room table), it will die trying to get around. It is all in and ready for war with those chair legs. Very often it will get itself in, but it has to be helped out. Overall impression: I am disabled, and this is a lifesaver, game changer. I paid $350 for it, and I feel I got my money's worth. It's not perfect, you're still going to need to take care of corners and stains, but for everyday maintenance, it's great. The app kinda sucks, but not as bad as some of the other comments are saying (maybe they did an update). Setting it up was complete BS and a total nightmare, but once it's done, you never have to mess with that stuff again.
