How do you measure yourself for the right size of this belt (New SI Serola Sacroiliac Belt) if you are pregnant?

Measure yourself at or just below your hip bones in the front and the belt will be in the middle of your buttox around the back. My belly was not the problem, it was the weight I put on around my hips during pregnancy. I should have ordered a size up since the belt can be adjusted smaller and there is plenty of room on the belt to cut it down if need be.

Does anyone have ideas on how to lessen the development of wrinkles and the discomfort from them when the belt is tightened?

I assume you are talking about the sacroiliac belt.  I found it I wore it over my clothes, the wrinkles didn't bother me.  The closer to my skin, the more my body heat and sweat formed uncomfortable wrinkles.  Hope that helps.

How would this work as SI support while driving?

When in a seated position, it may ride up a little. I wear the belt over my clothes, so I just quickly lower the belt if needed. But I need to add that long car rides...over an hour...usually hurt regardless. I have been 'in place' for almost  4 months now, and have been using the belt for 7 months. The apparatus that makes car rides pain free for me is the Sacrowedgy. It is under $40. You place it under your coxyc while driving.  It is not a seat cushion. I have made a few 3.5 hour trips to a city I am relocating to. I have used the Sacrowedgy each time, and I finish the trip pain free! In addition to a hypermobile SI joint, I also have a slipped L4/L5 disc that was diagnosed at the same time.

does this belt weaken back long term? or does it strengthen back long term?

What I have read about SI belts is that they strengthen the back long terms. I personally am wearing the belt to help support ligaments that are damaged at the base of my spine..causing hypermobility in a SI joint.  It is not big enough to support back muscles. My analogy is that it is like a.rubberband holding my pelvis in cohesion while "the glue dries." Eventually I will be stepped down off of it. I do have a lumbar belt for occasional back support.
