It's too bad that the tool quality is not the best. The pliers have limited gripping power and slide right off of things I try to use them on. We were trying to pull carpet staples from wood stairs so we could refinish them, and they were next to useless. We ended up using other pliers. I haven't used them enough for them to break, but they seem flimsy enough to do so at any time.
