Is it still the case ?** A: It was for me - you have to be careful the box will say CG or commercial grade if not you need to return it. The CG model is at least $100.00 more expensive. **Q: How does this work with an intex above ground pool?** A: I have a above 12*18 foot pool and it works fantastic. No more hassle with hoses and getting the pressure right to vacuum plus using this keeps all that dirt out of your filter. so easy and so worth it **Q: Can this be used in a fiberglass unground pool?** A: I used the PB Max on a fiberglass pool for several years — works fine . I wore it out; so I’m ordering this CG MODEL. **Q: How long does the battery last?** A: This vacuum is a small hand held vacuum. It is not designed for a long thorough cleaning. It is for spot jobs, tiny debris and not really to clean your whole pool. I work in a facility that has 2 pools, a therapy pool of around 35000 gallons and a Competition pool of around 310000 gallons. We have purchased 2 of the Pool Blaster Catfish LI vacuums and they have done a great job getting smaller spots and corners. That way we don't have to use our large vacuums (Gemini pool vacuums) for a job that will take around 15 minutes. It will run close to an hour. You will need your own pole attachment. We have an extendable pole to reach debris in the 6' section of our smaller pool. Great products. We are getting the CG vacuum now. Simple to assemble and operate. Works fine on standard pool debris. Unfortunately, despite the 'commercial grade' certification and the inclusion of an 'ultra-fine' filter bag, the product completely failed to deal with the mustard algae residue that was the prime reason for my AUD$1000 purchase. Use on such algae simply resulted in brown clouds spewing from the exhaust vent.
