Nerf LMTD Star Trek Starfleet Type 3 Phaser Motorized Blaster with Lights & Sounds, Starfleet Type 2 Phaser, 7 Elite Darts

As a Star Trek fan this Nerf is pretty amazing. I thought it was going to be a little odd but it is really a great feel and a great piece to my Star Trek and Sci-fi collection. This is a TNG themed phaser yes but does have more of a take on the Star Trek TNG films namely First Contact and Star Trek Nemesis which is why it looks and feel like it does. Over all I am impressed by the look and aesthetic; it may have a bit of a Nerf toy color but over all the features are pretty amazing and well done. I love the flash light bit. It is really bright and feels like it would in the later series. The accuracy is pretty spot on. The Phaser Type III is by far the best part of the two part set. The smaller Phaser Type II is a bit underwhelming for the fact it does not have any sound or lights but it looks pretty dang good and is fun. I love both of these and they are just pretty dang fun. I did get some gift cards and knocked down the out of pocket cost. This is a pretty penny. I think it is a nice fit to any trek collection. The lights and sounds are amazing and I would not mind cosplaying this. Over all I am impressed with it. I do not mind the Borg thing going on for it does make it good for a fan type thing. Over all this is well done but everyone is entitled to an opinion.

It finally shipped! The box has got quite the heft to it and the blasters inside didn't disappoint. The type 3 rifle is 4 C battery operated and can hold 5 darts at a time. The battery compartment is near the butt of the rifle. It animates across the rifle when you hold the trigger to fire, but the fan to shoot the dart is quite loud. I didn't try getting shot by it but I would venture that it hurts if you're too close. Accuracy seems decent from my limited testing. The only thing that seems a bit flimsy is the part where you load the darts. Otherwise the rifle feels well built. The type 2 phaser doesn't light up and is manually primed by pulling the handle back. It takes a bit of force to prime it before you can push it back into the main part of the phaser. I didn't try this one too much as the type 3 rifle held most of my attention. Overall, I'm super happy with my purchase. I knew I was get a nerf toy but it still made me smile from ear to ear for a long time. Also, the instructions were stored in the box hidden under some flaps. It could have been put with the box that contained the type 2 phaser instead of where it was originally stored.

As a life long trekie I love it. looks cool in person and feels great in the hand. Be careful with the Had Phaser (type 2) for me I have to Aim down more than I think or I hit people in the face with it and that's not cool. I rigged up a 6v power adapter to the battery back on the Type 3 (Phaser Rifle) so that I can have the demo lights on as a static display in my office. ❤️ it

Loved the action and how the rifle works, I understand the color choice to make sure it looks like a toy but I would still be concerned about letting kids play on the street with this for obvious reasons. The "Borg" circuits glow green, nice touch, Wish it came in silver the color of the movies but outside of that it is a nice size, aiming is funny but you can actually hit plastic cups with it range is around 20 feet for the nerf bolts. Wished that nerf had the bolts as a separate item to replace lost bolts. It is amazing how fast the suckers disappear in the yard.

So i was concerned at first about the cheesy looking Borg features. But… they light up and there is power up and power down sound effects. The darts are a custom gold style matching phaser blasts so to speak. The light on top has a separate switch to light up. The main power switch has a cosplay mode (lights and sound only, no power to the motors) and full mode which is lights, sound, and motor. If it jams, a red alert klaxon sounds and three red lights flash. The internal masazine though small (5darts), is really fun and easy to load. Compared to other special edition nerf like the aliens pulse rifle, this one is truly full size and full length. One could easily cosplay with this as is. I was initially planning on repainting like i did with the Aliens rifle, loved this so much as is i left it alone. The small type 2 phaser is just icing on the cake. Single shot, sort of a weird pump action, no lights or sound, but also fun to use. Though pricey, i feel this one was totally worth it.

Like many of you I pre-ordered this item in Sept of 2022. After waiting over one year it finally arrived today. I excitedly unpacked it and attempted to use the Type 2 phaser per the instructions. I stroked the front of the phaser out to prime it but it didn’t automatically retract as it should. So one minute after opening this item after waiting over a year and it jammed- very disappointing. I didn’t try the Type 3 phaser because I ended up returning the package. Amazon issued me a return label and offered to send a replacement which would take another week which I opted out of. I would have appreciated a bit more from the customer service rep given the long wait time. Being an avid Star Trek fan, I eventually bought a replacement. It works as I expected and is a lot of fun. For how light the darts are, they have good range. The Type 3 lights and sounds make me feel like I’m in First Contact. The darts can start to corkscrew when fired if they bend so be careful when you are handling them. Also don’t overfill the chamber beyond 5 darts or it will jam. So even though my initial experience was not great, the replacement was redemption for me. Star Trek fans must have this set.

Bigger than I thought it would be. Good balance & the little touch that looks borgish. A little annoying that I can't use just an FX mode with the lites on
