Next Level Performance and Value
This set is next level performance and value! Feels and performs like a high end microphone. I definitely felt like my other equipment was the weak link when using this. I would recommend for use in any kind of performance setting. Picks up full vocals clearly and cleaning. Construction feels quality with the metal screw off battery cover and rubber power button. Doesn’t feel like it’s going to break with normal wear and tear. Used it in a karaoke setting and it definitely performed and felt like the nicest microphone I’ve used before in similar settings. Passed it around to about a dozen different singers and it picked up each singers voice clearly. It picked up the more timid singers clearly and also allowed the more experienced singers to modulate volume easily by controlling distance to the mic (didn’t drop off suddenly when you got further away). The channels were easy to set and overall setup was quick and easy. This is about as plug and play ready as you’ll find. The separate volume controls are nice. The outputs are standard (balanced xlr for each mic or a 1/4 in unbalanced combined). I primarily used the 1/4 in out and it performed very well. It is comfortable to hold with some weight, but not too heavy. Also, even after hours of singing there was no sign of the batteries dying. Whether doing karaoke, public speaking, or a concert, this set could likely handle it with ease. Given the price point, it’d be tough to beat or come close to this quality, performance or value.

Phenyx Pro does it again!
As a worship leader at a Christian church, sound quality and reliability are essential to help create an atmosphere where people feel connected and engaged in worship. The Phenyx Pro PTU-2U-2H has become an invaluable tool in achieving this goal. Here’s my experience with it: The PTU-2U-2H delivers clear, crisp sound that feels professional. Whether it’s used for leading worship vocals or speaking during sermons, the system holds up impressively. It handles a full range of frequencies and doesn’t distort even when our team gets a little more enthusiastic with the volume. One of the standout features is the dependable signal range. Our sanctuary isn’t massive, but it does have multiple rooms, and I’ve been able to walk around freely without worrying about signal drops. Phenyx Pro claims a range of up to 328 feet, which is very generous for most church setups, and we haven’t experienced interference or static issues. The battery life is also impressive. We use the system multiple times a week, and it reliably lasts through long services and rehearsals without issue. The microphones and receivers are well-built and seem durable, which is essential given our frequent use. This system is straightforward to set up and use. Phenyx Pro made sure the user experience is friendly, even for those who aren’t as tech-savvy. It’s largely a “plug-and-play” system—perfect for churches where we have volunteers working on audio. One small aspect to consider is that, while the sound quality is very high, I found it helpful to adjust the EQ on our mixer to get the best vocal warmth and clarity. Also, this system doesn’t have a rechargeable option for the mics, so we go through batteries fairly quickly, but using quality rechargeable AA batteries has helped keep costs down. For a mid-range wireless system, the Phenyx Pro PTU-2U-2H is truly impressive and very well suited for church environments. It offers quality, ease, and durability without the price tag of higher-end brands. I highly recommend it to other worship leaders and church tech teams looking for reliable, quality sound for both speaking and singing.

These mics are amazing!
Ok where to begin?! I’ll break it up into 5 categories Build quality Audio quality Range Rf interference Ease of use A little about myself first. I own a integration and production business with over 20 years experience. Build quality - these mics are built just as good as my sennheiser 835 or Shure sm58 wireless capsule. You wouldn’t know the difference if you were blind folded and had to guess which was which. I was extremely impressed with the build quality and the overall look and feel of the microphones. We use this in a corporate band situation across texas and get nothing but compliments from the artist Audio quality - I will say it is a noticeable difference between the ptu-7000 and the ptu-2u as far as audio quality. Not saying the ptu-7000 sounds bad but it can be harsh and it sounds as if the mids and highs have been gained up. With the proper eq you can get them sounding good. That being said the ptu-2u straight out of the box sounds great. Vocals sound very smooth to the ear with a perfect balance of highs, mids, and lows. Very little eq is needed with these mics. Range - as far as range goes I use the antenna distribution system with this system and I have been extremely happy. In our corporate band setting we see the singers running all through the venue and these mics do not fail. Rf interference - I haven’t had any rf problems. I have the squelch at about half way and never have had any problems. Ease of use - these mics come pre setup out of the box. However, they are very easy to use and the auto scan features are amazing! Overall for the price of these mics you could do no wrong! You would be hard pressed to find a mic that sounds this good for anything less than $800-900 per mic. Great value and great mic!

Strong build, intuitive operation, reliable, nice vocal sound quality
My wife and I are a touring `ukulele duo (Uke66.com). We received our PTU-TU shortly before a weekend of playing two luaus and one garden wedding. I decided to give it a test so I installed the receiver in my rack-case with my Behringer X-Air 18, put batteries in the mic/transmitters, grabbed one Bose S1 pro speaker and off we went. The unit was easy to install, connected nicely to my mixer, felt very secure, and was intuitive to operate. In all three cases, the receiver quickly scanned for the strongest frequency, the mics paired instantly to the receiver, and batteries lasted four hours with time to spare. We played in three different spaces: one outdoors, and two very different cavernous dining rooms to audiences of 50-65 people. No drop outs, no distortion, good sound and coverage. While we are rarely any distance from the unit's four antennas the wedding official surprised us by borrowing one of the mics and used it effectively from nearly 65 feet away. I am used to using SM-58 microphones and am impressed that the PTU-SU felt, performed, and sounded just as good at a fraction of the cost. I feel that, with time and experience, I will get better at using this system in diverse environments to get even better sound quality but overall I was pleased and satisfied with the PTU-SU's performance right out of the box. From now on, it will stay in my rack-case and serve as our "go to" for the foreseeable future. I used my iPhone 7 on a tripod to collect video samples from each of the three performances. This system will be a good fit for any touring acoustic duo. I'm a fan.

Good entry level mics but you can't compare with high end mics.
These microphones work and sound good. But there are handling noise. Not sure how we can fix it or how other brands handle it. Overall, good value for th price and you can do a live performance with them

Honestly one of the best wireless systems I have used in a long time UPDATE
to start off when receiving these the packaging is great and well packed. the system works flawless, right out of the box with little effort to set up. we had only one issue with interference, and just changed channels and it worked great. the mics fell great in hand and we have used these three days a week for a month now with no issues. These have the same clarity as some of the much more expensive brands out there and honestly I don't think we will ever go back. Just because the ease of use and the quality of product is top notch. the only issue that we had as far as packaging, there are no mic stand clips included with these which can be kind of annoying but we found some that work well with them. these are exactly as described and work flawless with a nice long distance and no dropouts. You can see from the distance from our stage to Front of House Booth there is quite a distance and still today (now a few months in ) still working flawlessly! UPDATE Last weekend our audio guy was having issues with his wireless system in the event center where we were doing an MMA event, So I pulled this out and gave the mic to the presenter. The presenter literally walked all over the event center and in and out of the cage, circling the cage all night and talking to everyone even right in front of the PA system, this wireless system worked flawlessly!

I retired my sennheiser unit after using this system.
I like to break my reviews down into categories I refer to as the P's. PURPOSE Simply put, reliable wireless audio on stage. PERFORMANCE The performance was actually great. I used this system in various situations where I’d expect for dropouts and interference to happen, but I didn’t experience either when using this system. I used it in a club with a small stage, a church with a large choir stand, and an outdoor festival with at least thousands of people. The sound was clear, the battery life was great, and I like the sturdy feel of the microphones. I didn’t experience the dropouts others have claimed happen when holding the mic a certain way. PORTS Two XLR Male for separate outputs, One 1/4 female for combined outputs, 4 antenna mounts, and one small barrel connector for power. PEEVES (dislikes) The thing I dislike most about this unit is that it doesn’t use an IEC port to supply power. I hate wall warts because they take up too much space in my rack, and I always have to sacrifice an outlet to make them fit. An IEC power connector would be better since every other unit in my rack uses them and I have plenty of extra IEC cables laying around in various lengths and angles for the perfect fit. Also, the mics have a bright eq curve, and I found I had to roll off the highs a bit for a better mix. That eq profile may work better for people who like to eat the mic, but I prefer to use the mic about 6 to 12 inches away from my mouth for better dynamic control. When using the mics this way without rolling off the highs, I found they were more susceptible to feedback. PRICE The price of this unit will initially make you second guess it, BUT after doing a direct comparison with a Sennheiser unit I have that costs twice the price and is only a single handheld unit, I’ve decided to sell my Sennheiser unit. The price is excellent for what this Phenyx Pro system delivers.

A surprisingly great budget mic system
If I'm honest, I've been hesitant to purchase this system because I'm used to working with name brand gear in a professional environment. But I have to say that I was quite surprised by the quality of this product! Here are a few things I noticed right away: 1. The weight - the mics are surprisingly hefty. I expected them to be mostly lightweight plastic, but that is not the case. These have the feel of a high-quality product. But don't unscrew the battery cover with the mic on - that metal to metal sound is kind of obnoxious. :) 2. Ease of use - I try to figure it out new products without the manual first. I know I'll never have it with me and if I can't figure it out when I'm not under pressure, I definitely won't figure it out when I am under pressure. I was able to navigate all the menus and change settings without an issue at all. 3. Mic display - as a lefty I don't like that the display on the mic isn't vertical. Not a big deal, but someday lefties will get their revenge. Also, I wish there was an indicator light on the mic to let me know that it is on and ready. The display dims after a bit and is virtually impossible to read when dimmed. Pressing the button on the button brings it back to life, but that's an extra step that I don't want to take when I'm at an event and thinking about being in the moment. 4. Use - This won't replace my name brand products yet, but I will definitely make use of it regularly. I'll likely use this for smaller events, DJ events, kids events, etc. As I gain confidence in the product I'll ramp up the level of events that I'm willing to use it at. Summary - I'm impressed!
