I have long hair to the waist, medium thickness, a bit of natural wave slowly going away and tangles much quicker these days too. I went the route of using a smooth wooden comb with a handle, which I do really like, but it doesn’t do squat to help detangle and pulls my hair out while struggling. This particular comb seems to do that job much better upon very first use without causing so much damage and would recommend this specifically shaped comb as a first step of gently detangling frustrating hair. I just got my first perm and purchased this comb to help detangle my hair. It works super well and really gets the knots out. I recommend using some leave in conditioner with it.

Got it for my daughter who has very thick hair. Type C curls. (I think) It isn't the one she wanted, but it's. Lose enough. It will work fine for her needs. Has good spacing and a nice grip on the handle.

Prong ends are a little sharp on my scalp. Otherwise seems to work well
