Switch on and hold down button for 1 - 3 seconds or until you hear handset beep. Let go of button and tag will register. Tag will beep once. If the tag doesn't beep see manual / check batteries. **Q: How do you un-register a Tag from a handset?** A: The only time to unregister is if you want to use a tag with a different handset. Hold the left hand side button and button tag registered to simultaneously for 3 seconds or until you hear a beep. Then release both. Tag will beep twice to confirm. **Q: I’m having problems registering a tag?** A: Open tag fully then close it. If it beeps twice it’s good. Try again or registerer to a different button. If it doesn’t beep, open and close again. If still no beep try new batteries. I ended up getting a couple of more than what came with the TabCat package because after a year, there was a small split in the rubber, I think from my cat scratching, and me stretching it over the collar a few times. I'm sure if I got a different collar it wouldn't be as hard to fit over.
