I did a fair amount of reading, and this Fender kept coming up as a great dreadnought starter guitar. It did not disappoint. I played it nearly daily for three months, until I decided I was sticking with guitar playing, so I might as well upgrade (to a $1,300 Martin). I have no regrets about buying this Fender, and I'm keeping it as my "beater" back-up guitar. Is this Fender perfect? No. Of course not. But it's a good guitar for the money. It's eminently playable (though you may encounter some difficulties with first fret bar chords). It sounds nice. And, for those who care about looks, it looks decent, too.
