Love it. Good tasting and a wonderful reminder of what I used to enjoy back in the day.

I've always preferred a malt over a shake. This is the best malted milk powder. This is a very old, established brand, and will be appreciated by any other "old-school" lovers of a good old-fashioed malt!

Good for the traditional flavor but not that much maltier than Ovaltine. For a real dollop of malty flavor I've switched to syrup.

UPDATE December 9, 2024: So, the other night I started watching "Call the Midwife" and to my delight the nurses rewarded themselves after a long hard day with mugs of 'Orlicks! I hadn't ordered any for awhile (kinda pricy for me) but it was obviously a holiday season sign from the universe. I'd just made a Sustainer Donation to my local NPR too. So, the mug, the hot milk and HORLICKS made for a pre holiday gift to myself! Cheers and a Happy Christmas (as the Brits say!) Only gave it 4 stars the first review. Nobody believes a 5 Star. I've loved this stuff since the70's when I had some while living in Europe. Happy to have found it.

I tried this, like many others, after hearing it mentioned on Call the Midwife. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I'm sure if you were raised drinking it than it's great for you. A culture difference I guess. But, I've never been a fan of the Carnation drinks either.

Thanks to "Call the Midwife" I had to try this. I absolutely (Trixie's word, if you know, you know) like it and will be buying it again. I have found it to be soothing at night.

I like malts. This is better than Carnation malted milk mix. I like that I can adjust the intensity of the malt to my taste.

I've heard about Horlick's from many of my British friends and it is referred to on British TV shows like Call the Midwife, so I wanted to get some and try it. Well, now I have and my curiosity is satisfied. This stuff tastes horrible. Adding a sweetener to it helps a bit. Adding it to instant hot chocolate helps a bit, too. Adding a small amount of it to old fashioned made from scratch hot cocoa is the best way to get it past the palate, but really, we just decided to cut our losses and pitched it.
