Specifically crafted for 7-string guitars, these strings offer optimal tension for drop tuning, enhanced dynamic range, and exceptional tuning stability. Made in the USA, they deliver aggressive, balanced tones perfect for metal and nu-metal players seeking durability and pro-level performance. ## Description Korn’s Head and Munky helped kick off the nu-metal movement with 7-string guitars and aggressive downtuned grooves. Searching for a way to evolve that sound and fully unlock the true potential of their instruments, they came to Dunlop. We worked closely with both players to build a set of strings around Heavy Core technology for increased dynamic range, optimal tension when drop-tuned, and incredible tuning stability. This is that set of strings—carefully tailored to the tonal and tactile dynamics of 7-string guitars. It’s the sound and feel that Head and Munky depend on whether they’re cutting tracks in the studio or throwing it down on stage. ## Features - Developed in close collaboration with Munky and head - Carefully tailored to the tonal and tactile dynamics of 7-string guitars - Increased dynamic range, optimal tension when drop-tuned, and incredible tuning stability - String Gauge: 10-13-17-28-38-48-65 - Made In the USA ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0B8G9P4F3 | | Body Material Type | Metal | | Brand Name | Jim Dunlop | | Coating Description | uncoated | | Color | Nickel | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (585) | | Finish Type | Nickel Coated | | Included Components | Electric Guitar Strings Set | | Instrument | Electric Guitar | | Item Highlight | For guitar | | Item Type Name | Heavy Core Korn Guitar Strings 10/65 - 7/Set | | Item Weight | 0.04 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Dunlop | | Manufacturer Part Number | KRHCN1065 | | Material Type | Nickel | | Model Name | KRHCN10657 | | Model Number | KRHCN10657 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Electric Guitar | | Set Name | Heavy Core Korn | | Sound Profile | Aggressive, heavy, balanced | | String Gauge | 10/65 | | String Material Type | Nickel coated steel | | UPC | 710137131453 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Jim Dunlop - **Colour:** Nickel - **Instrument:** Electric Guitar - **String gauge:** 10/65 - **String material type:** Nickel coated steel ## Images ![Heavy Core Korn Guitar Strings 10/65-7/Set | For guitar - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81Y7WmYFjHL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - JIM DUNLOP Heavy Core Korn Guitar Strings 10/65-7/Set (KRHCN10657) - JIM DUNLOP Heavy Core Trivium Signature Guitar Strings 10-63 | 7-String - Ernie Ball 7-String Skinny Top Heavy Bottom Slinky Cobalt Electric Guitar Strings, 10-62 Gauge (P02730) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.dk/products/464302772-heavy-core-korn-guitar-strings-10-65-7-set-guitar](https://www.desertcart.dk/products/464302772-heavy-core-korn-guitar-strings-10-65-7-set-guitar) --- *Product available on Desertcart Denmark* *Store origin: DK* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
