Top quality and easy to config
Quality product that was easy to config! I purchased 3 of these for a church project, the results were perfect. The building is 2 floors, with drywall & cement block walls, concrete floors, and drop tile ceiling. The church can seat 300 people, impressive coverage in such a large space. I installed fresh cable runs of CAT6 back to a Gig POE switch, then patched that to the Gig port on the ISP router, BAM, DONE. Very clear instructions, and mounting screws for the brackets were included in the box, for wall or ceiling mount. Download the product management tool from Grand-stream and deployment is a snap. I like the product so much I bought one for my home.

Best kept secret!!
I’ve had multiple issues being able to have sufficient coverage for my 2 Story home and property. I’ve tried (and returned several access point setups) A buddy introduced me to these devices. I was hesitant since I’ve never heard of this company putting out access points as they are known for VoIP primarily. I bit the bullet and purchased 2 7610’s. One resides in my upstairs bedroom closet (yes I realize not the most ideal place) and one downstairs in the kitchen above my cabinets. Setup was incredibly simple which was a plus. The big test was coverage, and to my pleasant surprise range is excellent thoughout the house and covers my whole 1 acre property with ease (I had the settings on high at one point and the coverage was well beyond my property and my neighbors 3 houses down so I’m running on low). I’m continually running multiple wireless devices (20-30 sessions constantly) and also do quiet a bit of entertaining so they utilize the guest network, and sessions reach as high as 100+ and don’t experience any lag time or connection issues. The only “downside” to these devices is that when they update there is no notice (your wireless just basically stops). Other then that they have been rock solid and I couldn’t be more satisfied. My setup: 2 Grandstream 7610 BV-Tech 8 Gigbit PoE Switch ARRIS SURFboard 3.0 Comcast Internet

Amazing for the price.
Amazing access point. I found the UI and throughout fantastic for the price. Has been very stable and has played nice with my POE+ switch and Sophos XG firewall. My only gripe was that the firmware upgrade required me to create a TFTP server on my PC and update from there. My attempt at using the server firmware.grandstream.com didn't work. Update: I purchased another AP and it was automatically added as a slave. It's really nice being able to control them via the master device. Grandstream also added a roll over feature if the controlling AP were to fail. I've had no slowness or connection issues but I would be interested in sharing a configuration should it help my fellow readers. My link speeds are usually 500 to 700 Mbps, all three 3 streams are active, 5 Ghz as the priority, and I left the channel selection to the device.

This device requires a POE switch. Power supply not included.
Easy to comission and install. Works great with the Grandstream GWN7000 controller. It features its own GUI controller and can manage other GWN7610. Multiple ssid feature allows for isolation of client, production, management, and guest networks. Ample RF power with dual band.

Fairly secure, well built, BLOWS UBI away.
So far my experience has been very good. The device has a signed boot loader, comes with HTTPS turned on by default, and was relatively easy to setup. Performance so far is excellent, and the security options are easy to turn on. The UI is a little cluttered, but I was able to get everything done. I also need to note you HAVE to buy a power injector (POE+) since no ac adapter is included (at this price I don't think its that bad). Also way cool since you can manage a WHOLE PASSEL of them with just the device itself (new ones are put in 'slave' mode.). Documentation is good, ui is decent (if a tad rushed), security seems good and MIMO 3x3 AC/N capability for <600 is very good. CRISCO charges nearly $600.00 for a similarly configured unit. 2 year Post Script: Still works but needs to be rebooted about once per week (Not too unusual for a wifi device after nearly 3 years). Very fast even after (regularly get 90-100Megabits) covers most of the house. Probably getting another.

Can’t beat this AP at this price.
Feature set for this price is awesome. Yes, support is less than stellar. The firmware upgrade requires you point to the specific image you want to install once you do that you can upgrade multiple APs at once (linked to one controller). I have implemented multiple SSIDs on different vlans with no issues. Their GWN7000 firewall can act as a controller eliminating the dependency on a single AP in a multi-AP installation.

Possibly a good product but met with poor support
I'd like to rate this Access Point well, unfortunately it is plagued by the fact that Grandstream has horrendous support. I had an issue with this AP providing sub par downstream performance (upload speeds were as expected with 3x3). Their support staff does not seem to comprehend English well or they don't want to fix the issue. I've done a factory reset, upgraded firmware (at their request) isolated everything else on the network and yet they still go back to square one asking me the same questions (even with details/answers I've already provided). I've asked them multiple times to initiate an RMA since this AP appears defective. It doesn't help that the AP locks up every once and awhile and requires me to reconnect to it to resolve the internet connectivity issues. Maybe it's a defective AP, all I know is I have isolated everything (also showing this issue on multiple devices) and Grandstream support sends me back to square one like we made zero progress, asking the same questions over and over again. It must be a language barrier, that or their technicians are not trained properly. Other than that the AP was easy to setup but there seems to be some bugs or quality control issues. It looked good on paper and probably could have had my issues resolved if it weren't for their poor technical support. Best part is the support process has gotten so lengthy with back and fourth repeated questions/answers and I'm outside of my return window now.

Really good AP
These AP's work flawlessly. I have 3 in total. One at each end of the house and one in the center. Speed are great and no dead spots. Easy to manage and I love that they are mounted in the ceiling and are unobtrusive.

Nahtloses Roaming
2. Jedes AP kann als Master (Controller) konfiguriert werden. So können alle AP's zentral verwaltet werden. 3. Down-/Up- stream Rate kann sehr flexibel konfiguriert werden (für jeden einzelnen Klient, für den ganzen SSID usw. - sehr flexibel!) 4. Captive Portal - sehr vielfaltig konfigurierbar, Anmeldung mit: einfaches Password, Voucher, Facebook, etc. 5. VLAN's 6. Eingebaute SysLog Server!!! ! ! Also, falls man kein PoE Switch hat, sollte man ein passendes Netzteil mitbestellen.

Extremly happy
Great product, I bought this unit just to see if its woth the little extra cost, as I was a bit fed up with all the cheaper and more accesible products, I was pleasently suprprised with the preformance of the unit, defenitly worth the money!!! Highly recomemended.

Fast, reliable and less expensive than Ubiquity
What a wonderful piece of electronics! Once connected to my LAN, it was easy to “find” it, then I upgraded it to 1.06.43 right away. The embedded controller software has a beautiful and very complete interface. It feels solid and reliable. I realize my use case might be an exception on this forum, being a home user for this AP, but the web interface provides me with all the info I need to monitor this AP. It looks professional and it behaves flawlessly. I understand that it might not have been the case in the past, but 1.06.43 seems very good. I considered the purchase of an Ubiquity AP, but the need to install a separate controller software and dedicate a desktop computer to it made me look elsewhere. A little bit of background info: I purchased this unit to replace an Engenius EAP600. The EAP600 offered me good performance, I put it in service for a year and a half, BUT it would reboot by itself under heavy load, even though I could disable a watchdog process that I found running after login into the openwrt vbash shell. Then I purchased an EAP1300 (a MU-MIMO unit) This one proved to be reliable but it showed a performance hit from 125 mbps (EAP600) down to 80 mbps, I returned this unit. Now the GWN7610 is working flawlessly. Good speed: 115 mbps (I get 133 mpbs on a wired desktop for comparaison) and more important, no hiccup, no reboot under the heaviest load I could throw at it (multiple simultaneous file transfer from different desktops to android devices, Netflix movie watching and multiple speed testing(Netspeed) all at the same time. My decision to go with the GWN7610 was largely influenced by the excellent reviews (albeit only 14 of them) on amazon.com 1, from which I ordered the unit. As one of the reviewer on amazon.com wrote: “the GWN7610 is a best kept secret”. I will update this review after a few weeks of continuous use.
