It makes solar connections easy and safe
These make connecting and rearranging my solar configuration easy. It also provides much needed protection. They are easy to mount on a plywood wall, or it can just lay on a table because the breaker is covered. Great Product

Great addition to my emergency mobile solar cart to provide needed protection
I purchased this circuit breaker to add it to my mobile solar cart build. For emergency scenarios where we have a power outage, I can simply wheel my solar cart out of the garage and hook it up to our solar generator to help give some power. The circuit breaker provides good protection to myself and the solar generator should anything go wrong. The build quality feels good, is well sealed so I feel good with it being outside (is wateproof), isn't cheap or made of thin materials. The cables provided are appropriatly sized and fit my solar panels perfectly. All in all, I feel good with this product. It's was at a good price, seems weatherproof and is made of quality materials.

The 60 amp version is heavy duty but...
At 60 amps, my twelve-panel system will probably never pop these breakers until it grows bigger. The cost differential between the 30 and 60 amp versions was only two or three bucks and allows for system upsizing. I chose the latter because I prefer larger current handling so as to reduce voltage drop over distance. A 1 kV breakdown rating is also a great safety feature. The in/out MC4 connectors and 8-gauge wires in this are super-duty, and the two sets of spares are SOLID conductor terminals and very robust. Plus one star for this! However, we had a 3/4" gentle rain the first night I had it, and the box with the breakers in it let water in through the front access, and not just a little bit. To be fair, I had not mounted it and just laid it on the ground. Unenergized. I had to open the box and pour out the water and let the breakers air dry before use. Granted, I had the box lying flat on its back on the ground, but I would expect a lot more water resistance considering it has a rubber gasket around the enclosure case and a rubber gasket around the thin plastic front cover. One star off for that. It needs a larger or thicker gasket to seal better. The wire glands for the in/out wiring do seal well. This assembly comes with a plastic tool to disconnect the MC4 connectors. I had to use that tool specifically because the MC4 male housing is unique in design. You cannot use your fingers to squeeze the latch pins together to pull the connectors apart. You MUST use the toolโor, as I did, trim away the small amount of plastic away from the latch holes so your fingers or an ordinary MC4 tool can be used. One other thing about the toolโit is flimsy and is prone to break. One star off for the above. Other than these, this is a very nice DC disconnect breaker and worth every penny.

Crappy alignment causes you to bend wires too much
Absolute crap. First one had the screw heads strip out immediately with a screwdriver. They send a recplacement. Now the terminals donโt line up with the hole at all so I have to bend the living hell out of 10awg to even have a hope. When I finally get it and tighten the terminals down completely, the wire falls out when putting it back in the case. Two hours have been wasted because of this. Why is it so difficult to make a product that actually works? Why would your terminals be 1/4โ away from the entry hole??
