Awesome built quality but average sound quality. Basically good for this price range.

Initially, I enthusiastically gave this Bluetooth device a 5-star rating upon receiving and using it for a couple of days. Unfortunately, my positive experience has dwindled over the past few months due to a recurring issue. Despite diligently placing the device back in its charging box, it consistently fails to disconnect from my phone. This forces me to repeatedly insert and remove it from the box multiple times until it finally disconnects. While Boat has undoubtedly invested heavily in celebrity marketing and effectively promoted its products, the reality is that their products do not seamlessly fit into the market as promised. I am for sure never buying BOAT products ever in life.

I recently purchased the BoAt Airdopes 181 in-Ear True Wireless Earbuds with ENx™ Tech, Beast™ Mode for gaming, Mic, ASAP™ Charge, 20H Playtime, Bluetooth v5.2, IPX4 & IWP™ in Bold Blue. While these earbuds come with some fantastic features, I must admit that the sound quality left me wanting more. Let's start with the positives. The design and build quality of the Airdopes 181 are impressive. The bold blue color gives them a stylish look, and the earbuds fit comfortably in my ears. I particularly appreciated the IPX4 rating, which means they are water and sweat-resistant, making them ideal for workouts and outdoor activities. The inclusion of ENx™ Tech and Beast™ Mode for low latency gaming is a definite plus. Gamers will enjoy the reduced audio delay, enhancing their gaming experience and giving them an edge in competitive play. The ASAP™ Charge feature is handy as it provides a quick charging option when you're on the go. A 20-hour playtime is also quite decent, ensuring they last for a full day's use without needing frequent recharges. However, where the BoAt Airdopes 181 falls short is in the sound quality department. Despite the promising features, the audio output disappointed me. The bass lacks depth and punch, and the overall sound profile feels unbalanced. The midrange is somewhat muddy, and the highs tend to get shrill at times, causing fatigue during extended listening sessions. Moreover, the earbuds' Bluetooth v5.2 connectivity is not as stable as I expected. Occasionally, I experienced dropouts and disconnections, which can be frustrating, especially during important calls or while enjoying music. The built-in microphone works decently for calls, but it could be improved to provide better clarity and noise cancellation for clearer conversations in noisy environments. In conclusion, the BoAt Airdopes 181 earbuds offer an appealing set of features, including low-latency gaming mode, water resistance, and long playtime. However, the disappointing sound quality and occasional connectivity issues prevent me from giving it a higher rating. If you prioritize sound performance in your earbuds, you might want to explore other options. But if the additional features are more important to you, these earbuds could still be a suitable choice.
