That was not the case here. As for the product, I had never used this type of product before and was surprised at how easy it was to work with. It did not take much effort to to combine the two products and condition the clay. It had a working time of approximately 45-60 minutes before it hardened too much to get more detail into it. Over all, I was very happy with this product and have found other uses for it, such as making jewelry and fixing miscellaneous things (such as a hook). There isn't any harsh chemical smells and it isn't harsh on the skin. Also, the lids seal tight so this product should last a very long time. I added threaded inserts into the legs and 3 inch carriage bolts to obtain the necessary height. Of course, then the problem was the appearance of the carriage bolts in comparison with the adorable cart. I decided to use my 2 part resin clay to create ice cream cones on the legs. The result is awesome, and sturdy enough for use by a 6 year old who pulls the cart down our porch stairs and through the yard. It added strength and a sense of whimsy to the whole project. Once you have mixed the two parts thoroughly poke a hole in the center and add a bit of the powdered pigment then knead it until the color is consistent through out. The included photo is what I used this product to make. First time sculpting in gloves but I managed. It does not paint well with acrylic paints. One should use a primer first.
