Light for Lego 76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck - Led Lighting Kit Compatible with Lego Building Blocks Model - NOT Included The Model Set

To start off the pieces in this set are amazing I have had other light kit sets but these use actual lego pieces pre made with LED lights. Other than the amazing pieces the instructions were a little hard to understand with all the black on black but the end product is something I am more than happy about. Would recommend!

Gorgeous kit, still works great. Instructions could use some work. Lego's included instructions is a tough act to follow but there were a number of times it felt like we were just winging it with where the pieces should go, or how to route the wires. For a bunch of tiny wires it holds up pretty well to being fumbled around with and snapping together. Does a great job highlighting the details of this fairly large model.

This was quite a process to install as I have large hands and breakfast sausage fingers. BUT with patience and double checking instructions, and some trial and error (as some instructions weren't as clear as I was hoping, mostly regarding the neck lights), I was able to get this installed. IF installed correctly, there's JUST enough wire, so that's a good way to gauge whether or not you're installing as intended. BUT it's gorgeous and really brings the Tallneck display to life. Highly recommend.

Our Lego Tallneck looks amazing with this lighting kit and it was fun to put together. Unfortunately one of the tiny wires broke so we contacted the company and they're sending us a new part for free. Their customer support was quick to respond and incredibly nice during the whole process. This is how you win customers.

Looks awesome on my Lego set!! Only struggled to understand instructions once. Otherwise instructions were very easy to read. The wires do seem very fragile but I had no issues with the getting damaged. The wires were barely visible after it's completed

I adore this light kit! I planned to keep this set up on a shelf and stumbled upon this light up kit. I have never done one of these before, but managed to get it assembled. I did knock it one star because honestly the instructions were hard to follow. I ended up using them to find the location of where the lights should go, but VERY CAREFULLY, routed and hid them based on my own intuition. It only took me about an hour to set up and I couldn’t be happier with the final product

These lights kits are great! They work, They look good and are easy to install. Big Fan!

Glowy Tallneck for the win!

The core kit took me about three hours to build while the upgrade kit was about an hour afterwards. Wires are thin so a pair of tweezers would be recommend when trying to push the wires to sit correctly.

Mein erstes LED Set für Lego überhaupt. Nachdem alle Regale, Stühle, Tische, Vitrinen mit Lego Modellen zugestellt sind und ich Packungen rumstehen habe, die ich aus Platzmangel nicht aufbauen kann... Jetzt also der Ansatz die vorhandenen Modelle mit LED auszustatten. Das Horizon Tallneck LED Set ist es eher zufällig geworden. Der Einbau war in weniger als 2 Stunden erledigt. Wie hier schon von anderen Mitmenschen angemerkt, ist die Anleitung stellenweise zum Kopfverdrehen und Mitdenken. Tipp 1: Die Anleitung als PDF auf einem grossen Bildschirm laden und die einzelnen Bilder vergrößern, da so besonders die Drähte besser zu sehen sind. Tipp 2: Das allererste LED Element, welches an die Bauchseite des Tallneck geklebt wird -> so weit nach vorne setzen, wie es geht, sonst wird am Schluss das Setzen der roten LED auf dem Kopf kritisch! Ich habe Glück gehabt und durch mein relativ mittiges Ankleben (siehe Bild) hat die rote LED gerade so gepasst. Das Kabel hätte kein Millimeter kürzer sein dürfen! Tipp 3: Die beiden LED Leisten, die oben an die Kopfausleger geklebt werden NICHT Deckungsgleich zum Legoelement verkleben, sondern so weit nach hinten wie möglich (siehe Bild), da sonst die Elemente nicht mehr richtig nach unten geklappt werden können! Das Trennen der Klebeverbindng geht noch einmal, ist aber hakelig und gefährdet die Kabel. Also am besten gleich richtig machen. Tipp 4: Batterien in die Box einsetzen und während der Montage immer wieder anstecken und kontrollieren, ob die LEDs immer noch alle funktionieren. Besonders bei der Montage am Hals am besten dauerhaft eingeschaltet lassen und VORSICHTIG arbeiten. Beim 4 Element gingen bei mir plötzlich alle LEDs aus. Ganz vorsichtig wieder gelöst, alle LED gingen wieder an. Kabel neu postioniert und wieder aufgesteckt. Wenn man die LEDs erst am Ende einschaltet, hat man keinen Schimmer, wo die kritische Stelle sein mag! Das Ergebnis ist wunderschön. Und dadurch dass nichts blinkt, auch als Stimmungsbeleuchtung zu gebrauchen :) Zehn von fünf Sternen!

Instructions are well laid out, although the thin black wires were sometimes hard to see in the pictures. A fun challenge

This a fabulous set and looks amazing on the model. It is a little fiddly to get wires hidden, the instructions are okay but could be improved upon.
