I have a blue labs ph meter with a probe that requires kci storage solution will this be okay given the manufacture's is over double the cost of this?

Can i use this solution to store a multipurpose meter (e.g. apera pc60) - ph/ec/tds/salinity/temp, without damaging the probes ??

I use it in a multipurpose meter. I checked the manual and used what was recommended. By the solution make up, (what the solution is made of- compared to what the manual asks for

Does this also have a preservative in it?

This contains a substance that inhibits microbial growth.

Does this storage solution have a pH of 4.0?

This solution has a pH of around 4 (in part because that impedes microbe growth to keep your probe clean), but it is not manufactured to be pH 4.00 as our calibration buffers are. (It is also a very different formulation than our pH 4.00 buffer solution.) For this reason, it is not recommended to be used for calibration; its purpose is for probe storage in between uses.
