The dimensions are a bit off-it's about 1" longer than specified, so I was worried they'd make me check it at the airlines. I just kept it on my shoulders during the check in process and had no problems. For Air Canada it didn't fit in the overhead compartment straight in, so I had to turn it sideways. For RyanAir and EasyJet it fit perfectly in their overhead compartments when I put it straight in. The zippers are very heavy duty, and I love the fact that the entire front opens for easy access. The bottom area was perfect for bulky shoes. The wheels are great (not the spin type but nice and thick--they seem durable). I was concerned about the handle, but it was fine too. There are no outside compartments for a water bottle, so I just used a carabiner and that worked great. The straps folded easily into the compartment when I wanted to roll it and then pulled right out when I wanted to put it on my back. It was comfortable, but I didn't hike with it or anything--Lots of stairs & escalators in airports & train stations. It still looks brand new after almost a month in Europe. A friend recommended I get a rolling backpack and after some searching I found this one. Pros: 1. It's really sturdy and can take stairs well. 2. Big enough laptop pocket for 2 laptops. I'm in IT and sometimes carry 2 laptops. 3. I can't say it's waterproof but my things didn't get wet in a downpour. Cons: 1 definitely not enough pockets. I ended up putting everything in the main pocket because the one on the outside is so small only my chargers and glasses would fit there. It was hard to keep things organized in this bag. 2. No place to put coffee cup. On my other backpack and on other rollers I've seen there is a side pocket for a water bottle or coffee thermos. This one has neither and it's really inconvenient. I know what you're thinking but I travel with spill proof mugs. 3. It's huge!!! It's like rolling around a piece of luggage. In fact people ask me if I'm going somewhere when I'm really just headed to work. It's massive but all in all it does the job. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for my 14 Day Overseas Trip *by A***S on July 5, 2018* I love this bag! I took it on a trip to Europe from the US and took a couple flights within the EU. Had no problem fitting in the overhead storage. I packed enough clothes for 14 days and had plenty of space. It has the ability for backpacking but I did not have a need for it as it rolled fine on 1 mile walks to train stations up and over curbs no problem even did fine on cobble. For going up stairs I just grab the top handle and carried it up. I like the compartment zip that flips open completely. Bottom section was perfect for 2 pairs of shoes. The outside pocket would have fit my 15in laptop but I chose to keep it separate in a backpack for easy access on the plane. The extension arm is a single shaft so not as stable as a double shaft but it was easy to maneuver down the plane aisle. It did have a little twist to it and makes it a bit more difficult stabilizing a back pack on top of it. For the price I got my value on this trip. I’ll roll the wheels off of this one and buy another one and still come out ahead.
