JUNK JUNK JUNK!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Automoated valve - Needs a Thread device to connect to Apple HomeKit *by D***E on April 8, 2023* I bought this to automate watering in a new garden bed. I wanted something that would work with Apple HomeKit. I previously bought some Eve magnetic door switches to monitor doors in the house. I could see those from my Apple Home and used them to trigger alerts on my phone. What I found with the Eve Aqua was that I could activate it from my phone - so long as I was within Bluetooth range. It would show on Apple Home, but only when I was near the Aqua with my phone. I read up a little on Eve's website and suspected my Apple TV was not new enough to Support thread. A conversation with Eve's tech support confirmed that. The other thing I learned was to be able to connect to HomeKit, you must have a non-battery powered Thread device to communicate with the an Eve battery powered thread device on the Thread network. I added an Eve Energy outlet switch and that did the trick. It talks to the Aqua and relays to the Apple TV. HomeKit is now happy.
