This part was the last link I needed since my existing wall plates were unshielded and broke the ground connection.It snapped in easily, holds firm and works fine.Can't comment on signal quality since in my case cables are short enough with no major noise sources that they worked fine ungrounded.If you have more than one electrical panel you may want to use these on only one side or use an unshielded patch cable on one side.
