Bought this for my daughter who is a big James Bond fan, and she loved it! Perfect gift for people of all ages (kids who love legos, people that like cars, and Lego lovers all around). The build was easy and the car looks pretty elegant on display. It came with all the pieces and came with a few extra that she added to her Lego bin. Great, timeless gift for people of all ages.

This set is a smaller version, containing 298 pieces, compared to its predecessor that contained 1,295 pieces, making this set more inclusive to kids of a younger age. I should also mention that this is the Aston Martin DB5 from the latest James Bond movie, No Time To Die, starring Daniel Craig. The set is easy to put together and contains fifteen (15) stickers that require you to apply to parts of the car (although the headlights are already taken care of). So be prepared to be careful and take your time in slowly adding those on to the parts of the car as you're building. It was a quick and fun build. The set comes with one (1) Daniel Craig mini figure and a wrench for him to carry when he's not bombing around in the car. You can place the Bond mini figure in the driver's seat and an additional mini figure in the passenger seat. A third mini figure can be placed in the backseat, but only if they are laying down. After finishing the build, I notice among the extra parts was an extra gas nozzle, and I couldn't help but think that this could be used as Bond's signature gun (Walther PPK). Upon completion of the build, I found it to look very nice with the curves of the car. It's not perfect, of course due to the size limitations, but I think it looks great as a modestly priced Lego set. Aside from how cool this set looks when completely built, I like the option of removing the roof of the car and make it into a convertible (whereby you can have your third mini figure in the backseat sitting right side up). I have only two minor complaints about this set: 1. The number of stickers seemed a bit high for such a small set. I used to avoid stickers, but I've come to learn that slow and steady wins the race. Take your time in putting stickers on to your pieces and they'll turn out great. 2. The license plates must be manually changed. Unlike in the films where the license plates rotate. With this set, you must manually pry the plates off and change them. So, chances are I'm not going to mess with the extra plates. This set is great whether you are a collector of Legos/cars and/or if you just want to have fun and play around with it!

I built this w/ my 7 year old. It is one of the most fun builds I can remember. Most of the pieces are 1 flat unit high, which makes for some elaborate layering and stronger connections. The level of detail is fantastic too. For a Bond and Lego fan, this is a must-have. My complaints are: Quality control is wild here! Not counting the interchangeable license plates, we have about a dozen random small pieces left over. For example, there's supposed to be 4 "cow horn" pieces, but we have 5. We ended up with an extra microphone (stick shift) and "exhaust nozzle", which looks suspiciously like a gun. So in addition to his wrench, he now has his signature Walter PKK and a mic for karaoke. 1) We had some pieces missing, like the side wall, causing us not to be able to attach the front headlight. 2) sticker hell: there are 15 stickers to put on, for door handles and license plates. Very easy to misalign. Some details like the front grill are painted on, so why not the others? 3) some pieces are chrome. It's not entirely clear in the instructions. The only way to differentiate it from a regular grey piece is a small white speck on the diagram! 4) where to put the 8 extra license plates. The trunk doesn't open. It looks fantastic, even with the missing piece. We'll request it from Lego's site.

This was a Christmas gift to my brother and he built it right away after I gave it to him. I think he built it in 1 or 2 hours, so it’s a pretty quick lego project. Looks really awesome and I think he loved it! :)
