It was "worth a try" is what I kept thinking in my head. To be honest I'm not mad at this at all because it works exactly how it's designed to. But the design would fit you best if you're about 6 feet tall. For example, lifting the bar to do curls while your feet hold the straps won't work so well if you're 5'8 like me. I had to cross the straps and spread my legs wide just to come to a reasonable position where the line isn't loos and the bar doesn't go over my head easy.
