I upgraded to the Pixel 2. That wasn't a problem, Google's following Apple's lead and ditching the headphone jack was my problem. Part of the problem is that I'm brutal on headphones. I commute for a couple hours a day on the subway, go to the gym, and to boot -- I'm clumsy. With my Galaxy and all my previous portable listening devices, this wasn't much of an issue, if created another set of "dead-phones", I dropped $20 plus or minus $5 on a new set, cursed me for being me, and moved on. USB-C headphones are not exactly a mass commodity at this moment and I don't care for the added hassle of another moving part for a dongle, on occasion, or in pinch, fine. I almost gave up on finding a set of ear-buds that would play well without a dongle then these little guys came along. They do exactly what you'd expect for the price you pay, perhaps a little more -- they compare favorably to the $10ish Samsung headphones. I find the sound and fit as good or better. I'm not giving a 5-star review because they're not product that could ever be 5 star. All the calling features work and they sound fine. I'm not sure what people are thinking when they are praising the sound quality, it is good, but it isn't going to blow anyone away, in fact, I wouldn't trust anyone who says earbud sound quality blows them away (have they never used real headphones?)... I digress... a week in they've randomly disconnected a couple of times, but like I said I'm clumsy and this is probably just that the USB-C is a less robust connector than the trusty analog jack.Here's the tl;dr:Have a USB-C phone? Have the Pixel 2? Get these they play nicely (calling and the assistant work), sound fine, and you probably won't cry if you step on them or break them. Heck, after writing this review, I may just get a second pair as backup, if they were $5 cheaper, I'd probably get two. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sunwe Type C Earphones Review *by O***L on Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2017* These Type C Headphones are amazing, probably the only USB Type C pair out right now on Amazon worth one's consideration. The fit is light and comfortable, additional ear size tips are included. The sound quality is extremely on point, you immediately notice a massive difference with type c audio through this pair, versus 3.5 mm, analog audio headphones. The one unexpected major plus of this pair has to be the 3-D Surround Sound Mode. When it comes to Music, turning on the mode tends to take away from sound quality a bit, especially for certain Music Genres. But for watching TV Shows and Movies I can't begin to tell you the difference it makes, especially when paired with a media source with solid A/V Quality (Ex: Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Youtube TV etc.). The volume and playback buttons work as expected, as this is the first USB Type C Headphone that I've seen on Amazon that even had in line button controls. There's volume controls and playback controls. If your device is compatible, the buttons also work to control calls but, you must use your device's microphone to talk, there is no built in mic on this pair. I am unsure it these headphones lack a noise canceling function, because from what I can tell turn them up to about 45-55% volume and you will hear only your music (I am using the same audio sources that I've always used when I still had standard 3.5 mm headphones). I guess it's safe to say that they provide noise canceling being that they're Type C headphones equipped with a DAC.A Note on Compatibility: Call functions through the inline buttons does apparently require Android 7.1 or newer, as I just recently noticed the ability to use the buttons to answer/reject/end calls working on my Pixel, Running Android O. Also, all three buttons will not work unless you're using an Android Smartphone with Android 7.0 or newer from what I can tell. It works with Chromebooks, but there's no center button (play/pause) functionality.Overall it should work fine, unless you try to use it with a device that has an outdated USB Type C port (So Nexus 6p 5X, Galaxy S7,8, Google Pixel Samsung Chromebook Pro should all work without issues; I also plugged into a 2017 Macbook Pro at an Apple Store and it worked fine... ### ⭐⭐⭐ They have great sound on my Google Pixel 2 *by R***R on Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2018* They have great sound on my Google Pixel 2. Great for quiet listening. I took them skiing, listened to the same play list and the sound was terrible. I had a helmet on so there was no wind noise, etc. I don't know how the vibration from the skis affected them, every time I stopped skiing, the sound went back to normal. This happened for hours and became so annoying I unplugged them. I don't know how they would work for joggers. Nice case and good cable, just useless sound when skiing.
