400 Square Ceramic Sharpening Files for Sharpening Small Detailed Tools

I'm a tool & die maker, so I work with hardened tool steel up to 62 .. These are great for deburring tooling I've made that only require a small break-edge. They keep their shape and leave a great finish. The leather case is a bonus.

Very decent set of 1/4 inch ish size stones , they put a real nice polish finish on a small stainless steel job that I did . Nice set , nice leather pouch , good quality . I would buy again .

These are a nice set of ceramic stones - different shapes to fit every need - and comes in a nice suede case. I have not used these yet but have used similar ones in the past. The first time you need them they will pay for themselves.

I am always afraid I am going to break these when I use them but they are pretty tough and I doubt I could snap them without trying hard to do so and a swipe or two from a Mr clean eraser removes all signs of use no matter what kinda metal they were used on. And not all ceramic sticks are the same quality, and these are super high quality and work quickly.

Great set of stones for working metals. The different shapes fit most needs you'll have. They clean up fairly easily.

I purchased this file set to perform some fine tuning on a trigger job. The files all appear to be perfectly square and cut consistently across their surfaces. They are easy to handle and just as easy to clean with some warm soapy water. I could not give it a full five stars since the square file had a small bump (about 1/3 the size of a sesame seed) on one of the four faces, which could have damaged parts had I not noticed it right away. This is a great ceramic file and performed just as I had hoped!

First off, I am by no means a knife sharpening expert. I am entry level beginner etc. I tried stones to get my knife sharp, and I got it “ok” with them, but I could never get it sharper. It might have been the stones were not fine enough, could have been my skill at holding the blade to them, not sure. I am sure that since I got these, my knives have never been sharper. My “never been sharper” may not be yours though lol. I wouldn’t say it’s razor sharp, but it’s so much sharper than I could get with a stone. Anyways, I feel these are great for probably any skill level. It got the edge very sharp in really no time at all. I prepped the edge first with one of them cheap carbide/ ceramic V’s so the edge wasn’t completely dull. Only draw back is they are a tad small, so if you have large hands, it may be difficult to hold them.

These are very nice to sharpen serrated edges, or just spot sharpen.
