I actually ordered the Ifixit tool set. Awesome quality! And ordered this just for the logic board removal tool, figured may as well get a couple spudgers and extra drivers for basically the same price as they were selling for by themselves. Well, this set came before the Ifixit set, so I dismantled everything using this. Worked great! Only gripe was the larger size Torx for the 4 screws holding the hard drive to the tray was a little tight, but it did fit and I was able to carefully remove the screws without any slipping. I reassembled everything with the Ifixit set. Way, way better, but significantly more expensive, and it didn’t include the logic board tool. This set will definitely get you through the hard-drive swap on its own though.

I needed to do a SSD replacement in a Mac Mini - this set worked perfectly with no issues - I have saved them for future use. I was skeptical reading some reviews complaining the tools broke in first use but I had no such issues. It is a bit of a job replacing - took about 4 hrs cloning the drive and then about 2 hrs teardown and reassembly but my computer works like a new one again vs the old mechanical drive.

I took a chance on these and hoped that the quality would be good enough for 1-2 times at least. It sure was! I used this kit to replace the original HDD in a Mac mini with an SSD and the tools are still like new. With proper care you can use these tools for a very long time. I am very happy with this purchase!!

First of all, the product showed up well ahead of the expected date, so that was a pleasant surprise. The product itself had everything I needed in order to take apart a 2014 mac mini. Don't know what else to say. It served its purpose. My Mac Mini now has an SSD in it and went from borderline unuseable to new and fresh even with the baseline 4gb of ram. I would recommend this to whoever else may be looking to remove the stock hard drive. It was cheaper than the other options I saw, has everything you need, and ships fast. Yay.

I should have known better, but the price looked good for something I was only going to hopefully only need once. The TR6 bit shattered like glass while unscrewing the second screw when disassembling a Mac Mini. Avoid this kit, there are too many choices out there.

Worked very well for my late 2014 Mac Mini hard drive replacement. The only catch was that I needed a pointier pry tool for removing the IR sensor connector on the Mac. I ended up using a toothpick for that removal. Otherwise, everything you need is here. Actually, there is one more Torx tool than you need for a hard drive replacement. I imagine you'd need it for another type of repair. I do note that, irrespective of the tool kit used, replacing a hard drive on a Mac Mini is fairly cumbersome and requires a good deal of dexterity. It's the most difficult replacement of a hard drive I've ever had to make on a PC, took me over an hour.

I purchased this tool kit so that I could replace the slow 5400 RPM drive in my late 2014 mac mini with a SSD. This tool kit worked wonders and it made the replacement process easy.
