Even the slowest speeds are much faster than is safe to use next to tissue. And the Silicon Carbide bit is used for grinding metal; it will tear right through something softer, like toenails and fingernails. **Q: Can this be used to apply a bevel to 6mm glass?** A: Keep in mind it's shape. You may yield better results w/a BARREL shape if beveling consistent long stretches of anything. Yeah, they should work w/glass, provided you are spraying the surface w/clean water. I used this gently with my Dremel. It smoothed the chip out nicely. This stone leaves a dull finish, but we'll have to figure out how to polish the glass now.
