AX 2500W Step Down Voltage Converter 230V to 110V (Plug-in Type)

Great product. Works as advertised. Best part is that it is made in India - not a Chinese import. Properly packed, well labelled both on the outer carton as well as on the product itself. Additionally manufacturer has taken pains to inform customer of what loads to connect and what is not appropriate for use. I would encourage AX-India brand as much as I can, and full marks to the manufacturer Shweta Electronics. Finish is the only thing I can possibly complain about, but for such products, I really don't care about finish. Couldn't ask for more.

I have tested with sustained load of 200 watts. It worked well.

Worth, value for money

The plugin type step down product functions well. And looks good outwardly. But when we try to insert a flat pin plug of equipment first time, the flat pins do not make proper contact. We had to open the cover, bend the contacts inside to get power to equipment. The manufacturer has to know that the step down will be connected to normal US type (means flat pin) plug and thus should give importance to FLAT pin contacts more.

I am using a hair dryer bought from US. This step down can not provide enough power to run the dryer. Useless for me now. Unfortunately i am unable to return due to amazon policy.

It produce 30 voltage output instead of 110 voltage. I tried to contact the supplier but no one picked the phone. Amazon should ban this supplier. Very bad experience.
