API allows you to program it, and write your own data acquisition software. Can run on PC, Mac and Linux, including Raspberry Pi! Maybe the logic analyzer is valuable, but I haven't tried it.CONS: Very hard to view a 1MHz sine wave, I don't know why they even try to think about 40Mhz! It is hard to get a stable waveform display. There is no AC coupling, they try to simulate this in software, that makes the waveform move up and down a lot. Difficult to control something as simple as the vertical offset of a trace. It requires you to hit the ZERO button, to lock the trace to the offset! I think the biggest limitation is the time it takes to send a buffer of data over USB. Triggering works okay, but its so much easier to do it with a real scope.If you want a scope, you are much better off with a RIGOL or Siglent scope that costs under $300. I knew this was not as good as a real scope before I bought it, however, I wanted it to record large blocks of electrical data, however this can't even do that reliably!This would be a fine toy for $99, but for $300 with the stupid scope-probe adapter, its a real waste of money.I'm glad I bought it from Amazon, I don't have to return it to Austrailia! ### ⭐⭐ Does Not Fully support MacOS Catalina *by R***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2020* When I emailed about Catalina support they responded right away and provided a link to the beta version.The software interface for this product for MacOS Catalina is still in beta and not all features are supported.I needed something that was fully functional with Catalina so I have returned the product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars *by G***K on Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2017* A really fantastic product.
