Quality Caps
I am happy with my caps. They look great and fit good on my 2025 RAM 2500.

Awesome! Just don't try to...
First let me say that I have tried two of the other models of upgraded fuel caps here on Amazon and this one fits my 2016 Ram EcoDiesel perfectly (though, I hear there is variance in fuel filler neck diameter) and this one is easy to grab in order to remove it (unlike just about all the rest). This one is also very nice looking and has any excess weight removed. I first thought that the magnet was weak as it BARELY sticks on the inside surface of the fuel filler door. There must be a layer of plastic or aluminum over the magnetic steel in that particular place. The VERY FIRST TIME I used it, I had it stuck there and I bumped the filler door where I had stuck the cap, only enough to move the door an eighth of an inch and the cap fell to the concrete and took a chip out of that nice finish. LAME! SOOOO... don't be an idiot like me! Stick your cap to the fuel filler door HINGE, where it sticks like a champ! I'm not sure what would happen if you drove away with it stuck to the hinge; the wind may blow the door closed as you drive and hinge design may not allow enough space for the cap to stay. Not the cap designer/manufacturer's fault, either way. If you really want it to stick to the flat verticle surface on the inside of the filler door, you could epoxy another neodymium magnet to the inside of the fuel door so the two magnets will hold together. If you're going to do this, just make sure you orient the second magnet properly so that the poles want to stick to each other. ;-)

Fuel filler cap - Something I didn't know I needed on a 45k truck.
I have the Ram 2500. So i was torn between this cap and the one without the lifted portion, to allow easier removal. I went with this one bc I didn't want to have to struggle to remove the cap (after reading reviews for the other cap that seemed to be the main issue with it). Although, after taking this cap on and off I'm not sure the extra money I paid for this cap is really worth it, but then I haven't used the other cap and there wasn't a problem with either removing it or putting it on. During the winter when I'm wearing gloves I'm going to be extremely glad I bought this one and not the other one! (Just a thought if you live in a freezing climate). I also found it interesting that this cap came with a "thinner o-ring" in the package that wasn't mentioned on the add. I don't think it's needed and I would be afraid that the cap would fall out if I were to use it. It appears to fit snugly as is. That being said the cap itself appears to be well made and all one piece. I now don't have to worry about getting anything into the diesel tank that isn't supposed to be there, like when i'm filling the def and there's an over spray or washing the truck as I noticed that water did in fact get into the fuel filler compartment (which is what sent me on a search for something like this.) The magnet holds the cap firmly in place when removed. Very happy with my purchase. Doesn't appear that I will need to ever replace this item. (unless I lose it)

Love these Caps!
So my truck didn’t have a cap for the diesel when I bought it. So I found these. The fit perfectly! And have a nice clean look. Have had them over three months now and no issues. Just look great and do the job! Would definitely recommend these caps!

These DO NOT FIT ON 5th GEN RAM 2500/3500
These caps DO NOT FIT properly on any 5th gen heavy duty truck. They won’t go all the way in and stay in place like they should because the 5th gen’s have a few parallel grooves that make the fuel filler spout slightly more narrow. I have a 2022 Ram 2500 Limited Longhorn, and I use the diesel cap but it just goes in about half way and the other half isn’t secure, but it still prevents dust and debris from getting into the fuel tank especially during pollen season. It’s very hard to find a fuel cap for a 5th gen, but once I find one that’s what I will be ordering. Also, I would not purchase a DEF cap that’s metal of any kind because the urea in DEF interacts with the metal and will eventually cause issues once oxidation takes place. The metal cap looks better, but I’ll never change it from the plastic cap because as a professional driver I deal with DEF all the time, and even actual Heavy Duty tractors have a plastic cap and all trucks have a special plastic DEF tank to prevent corrosion, which obviously leads to $expensive$ emissions issues. The DEF tanks even have at least one heater because DEF cannot freeze, or get too cold for optimal NoX elimination. My fiancé bought these for me right after I got my truck, and he was unaware of the fuel filler design difference, and the reason not to use a metal DEF cap even though any cap is much much better than no cap because anything getting into the DEF tank will create major issues since the system is extremely sensitive and ANY foreign matter will lead to a major repair bill if your truck’s out of warranty. For example if a single drop gets on the aluminum step of my tractor it will turn white initially then eat at the aluminum until thoroughly washed off. I will buy just a fuel cap once I can find one specific for a 5th gen or even a 2022 because I have no idea when the design was changed. My recommendation would be to not buy the combo, and just buy a fuel cap and ensure it will fit your model year to avoid the need to return the item if it doesn’t fit. *This is just my opinion and what I have had happen, and I’m only sharing this info to hopefully help someone out! Good luck to everyone shopping for this item!

This cap fits quite well on my 2017 Ram 2500, looks good and the magnet is a nice touch to keep it in place while fueling up, it's a little pricey but a good quality replacement or custom touch for your truck. I guess I will have to see how long it takes to get stolen.......
