Clearspring's Japanese Arame is getting a packaging make-over. In-line with our mission to move towards 100% sustainable packaging, Clearspring Japanese Arame is being launched in new look packaging, which is entirely sustainable. The inner pouch is home-compostable and the outer carton is recyclable. Arame is a popular sea vegetable in Japanese cooking. Its semi-sweet and moreish flavour makes it an excellent way to introduce nutritious sea vegetables into your diet. It can be sauteed or simply boiled after reconstituting for use in a wide array of dishes including soups, stews and salads or stir fries, curries and casseroles. However disappointed when opening the pack as the enclosed ingredients were all the same. Not a mix of various and zero variety. Something we wanted to place or sprinkle on top of some steamed Halibut used as a starter, But these proved to be a non-starter in our opinion. Don't take my word for it but have a close look at the photo on the pack and let us know what you'd expect to receive. Would we buy them again. No chance as the last lot went into the bin!

Clear spring products are superb as is the Arame seaweed been buying this for years….being a veggie it brings great nutrient into soup which is where I mainly use, but it’s fine and easy to crumble and can be added to most moist dishes….enjoy 👍🏻
