Amy Krouse Rosenthal's New York Times bestselling picture book about a unicorn who believes that little girls are REAL is perfect for anyone interested in stories of friendship, unicorns, and the power of believing! Uni the unicorn is told there’s no such thing as little girls! But no matter what the grown-up unicorns say, Uni believes that little girls are REAL. Somewhere there must be a smart, strong, wonderful, magical little girl waiting to be best friends. In fact, far away (but not too far away), a real little girl believes there is a unicorn waiting for her, too. This magical story of friendship from the bestselling author of I Wish You More is perfect for Easter and spring-time reading. It reminds believers and nonbelievers alike that sometimes wishes really can come true. Don't miss the sequel, Uni the Unicorn and the Dream Come True! Review: Perfect for your unicorn loving daughter - If your daughter loves unicorns you will all enjoy reading this sweet story about believing. My 4 y/o daughter absolutely loves this book (and the matching plush unicorn). The book tells a wonderful story about a Unicorn that believes little girls are real, even though the other unicorns say they are make-believe. The unicorn dreams of a friendship with a "strong smart wonderful magical little girl." My daughter says, "Uni believes in me & I believe in her! I know we will find each someday." The illustrations are beautifully done and I love that the little girl wears shorts, t-shirt, & mismatched socks. This is a book you will read again & again! Review: In my mind, the story is a metaphor about having Faith. - I am always looking for stories that convey spiritual virtues. The unicorn has faith, the girl has faith, and their faith is rewarded, each meeting with their Best Beloved. I was worried the illustrations were too cartoonish, and they are (just a little, to my taste), but my granddaughter LOVES the story and the pictures. The colors are clear and bright, matching the message which is sparkling and uplifting,

My three year old sleeps with this book in her bed. I had to buy her the other books as well. If you have a unicorn loving girl, this is a good one

Beautiful and sweet story with a girl as the main character
I have found there to be so few books out there geared toward girls that aren't characters from shows or too "adult." My son is 5.5 and I feel like we had a never ending supply of books related to his interests and with little boys as the main character. Yes, I know I can read my daughter book about trucks and bugs, and we do, but there is a shortage of children's books geared toward girls that aren't based on movies or...crappy. I came across a photo of the illustrator's work in This is Me Loving You (also fantasticly sweet) and went looking and found this. I knew we had to have it the moment I read the description.

Very cute story with beautiful illustrations
The book has really great art work and the story is really cute, but it kind of ends weird. The unicorn and the little girl never actually meet. When I finished reading it to my 3 year old for the first time she said 'is that it?' I now know there is a second book where it seems like the do meet so we will probably buy that one. Good marketing on their part I guess.

We love Uni!!!
My daughter got this book as a birthday gift when she was 4. She still loves the book 2 years later. So much so that she picked it out as a gift for a friends 6th birthday. The illustrations are gorgeous; the story is sweet. As a unicorn lover as a child, I adore this book too. We have over a 100 children's books in our household. This easily ranks in the top 10.

Great book for our granddaughter
This book is urging our young readers to use their imagination. This magical story is perfect for our 7 years old granddaughter who has many unicorn items in her room. Reading about them in this book helps her with reading and encouraging her to use her imagination. A really great book! Our granddaughter received the book for her birthday and she is reading it often, which is a good indication that she likes the story. I'm recomending this book to friends, family members and potential buyers.

the kid loved it
An awesome pictorial book with a great story. I was enthralled by how good it was. It's great fun to flip through for adults; for kids interested in fantasy books, it will be a treasure. Must buy, this one along with these others: the very hungry caterpillar, lost and found, the goodnight train.
