Here are the inside dimensions of an individual cell as per AC Infinity: "Top is about 1.57in x 1.57in. Bottom is about 1in x 1in. Height is about 2.36in." So, for example, a standard 36mm round Jiffy peat pot would not fit without squeezing it into the bottom (they are about 1.4in diameter.)
