Once you set the time for a particular channel (channels 1 through 4), that's the time that channel is set to unless you reprogram the time for that channel. For example, let's say you have channel 4 set for 5 minutes. If you press the "4" button to start the timer, it will continue to count down until it gets to zero or you push the "4" button again to reset the timer back to 5 minutes. I set channels 4 through 1, respectively, to 5, 12, 30, and 45 minutes. That seems to be a good combination of generic times for various reasons. Also, if you unplug the unit, the programmed in times are retained in memory. So, you don't have to completely reset the thing after a power outage or if you have to unplug it for some reason. **Q: How long can each timer run for** A: You can set it up to 99 hours and 59 minutes. I did not try to run all four timers at once, however. **Q: can the countdown be paused and resumed?** A: No, you have to start over again. But, you can change the timer value to whatever time you left off at. **Q: will save the last input ? or we have to punch the time every time Example if something go for 3 min 30 sec but a have multiple loads will save** A: Once you program the time for each channel, it's saved in memory until you change it. Also, fun fact - if you unplug it or lose power, the timer saves the programmed timer settings.
