This press is well worth the money. So much better than a bottle jack press As you can see from the pictures, the ram has very long travel And it’s very square to the base You can press bearings with confidence. Probably one of the best tool investments I’ve ever made Note: this press is heavy duty and it took two of us to assemble it. And I would recommend bolting it to the floor for stability

"You need to put Teflon Thread tape on the fittings to seal them up Properly. I would give this press 5 stars if I could install the pressure gauge. Unfortunately my ram assembly came with a seal bolt on top of the ram that is screwed in so tight that it can't be removed. I believe this bolt needs to be removed to install the pressure gauge. The press does work without the gauge, but it would be significantly better with the gauge. If there is another way of installing the pressure gauge without removing the seal bolt, I'd like to know.

The package I received had only the hydraulic ram, hydraulic hand pump, and pressure gauge included. No framing components at all. The box it shipped in, manufacturers box, states it is package 1 of 2. If package 2 arrives I will change my review but my assumption is the second package was somehow lost. Very disappointing as what I did received looks promising. I will definitely be returning it unless box 2 magically shows up. Several days later and no box two. I reordered the same product hoping the separate boxes was a one time issue. Second order is the same, missing all framing components and box clearly states 1 of 2.

I gave this Press three stars for three reasons. 1)., the directions suk. Your better off just looking at the parts diagram and throw it together. 2). they shorted me some hardware. These weren't big deals. The two items that bothered me are, 3). the amount of pumps for piston travel. 65 pumps to move the ram two inches. Thats a pain. 4). the pins for the press deck that moves to whatever length you need are straight pins. If your holding the deck in position and trying to line up the holes, you can push the pin through to the other side where it falls out. Then your left holding this fifty pound plus piece of steel which can fall out, dangerous. I'm going to weld washers on one end so they stop when inserted. This will cure that problem. The pluses are: 1). It has a ram, not a bottle jack. That's more versatile and accurate. 2). You can move the ram off center if needed. 3). Its a well built sturdy frame that only had minor deformation at over 15 tons pressure. All in all its a 300.00 press. Not a $10K OTC. and for 300 bucks its not bad. Better than the harbor F or many others of the same Chinese mfg. Free shipping and price match at Summit.
