Review: Absolutely incredible - Picture quality is beautifully clear. Very sturdy set up. Would definitely recommend
Review: I love this camera - This camera is superb. It's feature rich, but you don't need to use all the features. The swing out screen makes the features much easier to access than on the Digital Rebel series. The higher performance, including the much higher resolution and higher ISOs make the camera really sing. The ability to use much larger memory cards is also a big plus. The live shooting mode is a very versatile mode. It is bulkier and heavier, but it's worth it. If you have the money, this is a camera worth growing into.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: My rebel lenses will not work on this camera, correct?**
A: It depends on the lens. If it is an EF lens it will work. If it is an EF-S lens it will not. An easy way to tell is to look at the mark on the lens that you use to line it up with the camera. If it is white, then it will not work. If it is red, it will. As a side note, I would guess just from the nature of this question that maybe you don't need a camera of this level just yet. If you don't know how to tell what lenses fit on a system, then I feel that you are not in need of such an expensive camera. Keep in mind too, that a full frame camera is more than a commitment to a body, but also a commitment to a much more expensive lens set. EF lenses are almost always more expensive than the EF-S lenses, and rightfully so. Not trying to be a dick, just being honest. My honesty however, always comes with a suggestion.I would suggest putting this money into a better lens set, since the same lenses that can fit on a full frame camera like the 6D will also fit on your rebel. Instead of dropping 2000 dollars on a body, and then another 1000 (or more) on a lens, get some things from this list instead…1.	EF 70-200mm USM – There are 4 versions of this lens. I would suggest either the F4 IS version, or one of the F2.8 versions. The F4 IS is great for nature shots and can do portraits pretty well too, and has superior level glass, and is 1150 USD. The F2.8 without IS is a great bargain at 1250 USD, since it gives you low light abilities in one of the sharpest lenses Canon makes. If you are going to shoot a lot of high shutter speed action, then IS is not needed. It also doubles as a portrait lens, giving the ever coveted bokeh effect. The F2.8 IS is the ultimate lens, probably Canon’s best lens, but is 1950 USD. I would suggest the F4 IS version if you are not sure which you need. If it turns out you need the better aperture of the F2.8, then you can sell the F4 IS for about 1000 bucks, as these lenses hold their value very well.2.	EF 100mm F2.8 Macro USM – There are two versions of this lens, one with and one without IS. The non-IS version is great, and a lot of pros have it in their bag, and is 600 USD. The IS version is about the same lens, just with IS, for 800 USD.3.	EF 50mm F1.8 STM – A very affordable and sharp and fast lens, often called the nifty 50. For 125 USD, you can’t beat this lens. If you can afford it, the EF 50mm F1.4 USM is a better lens for 300-350 USD.4.	EF 70-300mm F4-5.6 IS ii USM – A great lens, with good image quality, this is also on the more affordable plain at 500 USD. All these lenses are compatible with your Rebel camera, and all of them add a higher level of quality to your photos. And best of all, all of them are compatible with the 6D. I would say get one or more of these lenses first and push that Rebel as far as you can. Then, you can get a full frame camera, and you will already have a lens set you can put on it. The way I see it, it is always better to get a better lens now and a new body later (except in some very specific situations). After all, a new lens will give you better images, a new body just adds new features that don’t really improve your images that much, if at all.

**Q: Is this the 24-105mm f/4l is ii usm lens or the older 24-70mm f/4l is usm model? the picture indicates the newer ii model, but it is not stated.**
A: There are two listings with 24-105mm lenses included in these comments and questions.

One is the 6D Mark II plus the EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS II USM. It is an "L" lens. It is listed above as the "24-105mm USM kit"
The other is the camera plus the EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM. It is not an "L" lens. It is listed above as the "24-105mm STM kit"

**Q: 6d mark ii vs. 80d Is it worth the extra money?**
A: I have used the Canon T5i-6i-7i, 80d, 77d, 6d, and the 6dii. The 6dii is a superior camera to all of them. I still own the full frame 6dii and aps-c 77d. The 6dii is the only camera here that comes with no flash because it kills the other cameras in low light. 6dii will grab focus where other aps-c cameras cannot.

I did a quick test one day. I put a 40mm on the 6dii, and a 24mm on the 77d. Roughly the same specs and settings. I took several shots inside the dimly late afternoon light in the living room. The 6dii produced usable non-noisy photos, and the 77d failed miserably.

The time I used the 80d was for a trip to Eagle Lake in CA. I got back home and looked at them on the computer, and found the 80d off for a lack of color and focus. That was a rental, so keep that in mind. The difference in price between the 6dii and an 80d is neglible. Spend the extra money and get a real camera. Comparing the 77d, which is close in specs to the 80d, and the 6dii in daylight or flash photography, the 77d can produce great images. All about light, and 6dii can do it all. You put pro external flash on it and get and get photos in near darkness from quite a ways off. External flash on a aps'-c camera makes way better photos than the pop up flash that is only good in a small room. At one time, before I got the 6dii, I thought maybe the 90d would be a good buy, but Amazon ran a sale on the 6dii for $1200, and done. This a no-brainer, the price for a 6dii is low to get a competant full frame image maker. I have heard that the 6dii is not a wide dynamic range unit, but Lightroom and others fix any issues. So yeah, for another $2000 you can get a far better dynamic range camera, at $3-$4000, but not for $1200. I have read tons of reviews on the 6dii, and many are from pros doing weddings, and own multiple units. Weddings generally offer challenging low light situations. I also do a lot of bird photography in December to February, and the 6dii again produces far better lighting and images in dimly lit sun or clouds. My 77d only gets use on sunny days.
Get a 6dii, save money and get lots of perfect photos.

**Q: How is the image stabilization system in the canon 6d mark ii? identical to mark i?**
A: Canon 6D Mark II has built in Digital Image Stablization.

A great camera with easily understood functions and navigations. I used to be a Nikon fan but my husband introduced to me to Canon, and I’m hooked. Gorgeous shots. Battery life is longer than I expected. Although I spent more than I wanted, it’s worth it in the end. I’m happy with the camera and I take it everywhere with me. You just never know what you’ll see.
