JS Sloane 1947 After Shave Splash for Men – Classic Barbershop Aftershave, Refreshing & Toning Post Shave, Signature Masculine Scent, 4 oz

Just fine shades separate this expensive Barbershop aftershave from, say, Pinaud Clubman or Floid. Nevertheless God is in the details with perfumes and aftershaves and imo JS Sloane has this nailed down. Nothing powdery or overly feminine here. Everything is perfect, perfectly retro, perfectly masculine, perfectly 1947. Feels good, smells good and of course I wished it lasted longer but does leave a faint and nice afterscent on the skin for a while. I'm very picky about scents and this one does what it sets out to do with style. Silly price imo but I'm overlooking that. Nice packaging too.

Nice aftershave sensation. Very mild fragrance that lasts less than 30 mins. The scent is consistent with ADP Colonia which makes it a great match for that layer.

I bought this for my husband because he said he used to use this when he was younger and he loves it and I think it smells great the first time I opened it I was like oh yes this smells just like my husband oh it smells so good

A wonderful and classy scent. This stuff is American history in a bottle. It gives that perfect burn, and the longevity is great. Definitely worth a try.

I have become addicted to this line of men's products. JS Sloan is simply in a category of their own. Amazingly classy packaging and actually a very fair price for the quality and quantity you receive. I wanted to save this for special occasions, but I have ended up wearing it everyday. The smell of the aftershave is different from the beard oil and aftershave balm,which is one of my very favorite fragrances, but I cannot exactly describe this fragrance, so maybe others can help out. To me, it has a slight spicy back note, but the front note is a sweeter scent which I cannot peg. Whatever it is, it is fantastic. It goes on with a nice warm, soft scent, not pungent or heavy and it does not fade so quickly that you feel you wasted your money buying it. I find I cannot smell it on me after awhile, but others have said there is a slight hint of something and they usually compliment the fragrance. I'm hoping a talc in their original fragrance will soon appear. Maybe, as the label states, there is something "classic" about the 1947 aftershave, since, in a very nostalgic way, it reminded me of my father, which is a wonderful thing. Like their packaging and label implies, everything they touch is gold!

I ordered this again because it feels so good going on after a shave. It has almost no odor. My wife says she doesn't notice it at all.

Its expensive, but has the best smell money can buy.
