Jute Braided Table Runner

This table runner is great for any time is year, which is what I needed. It is thick and very well made. The colors most likely vary from runner to runner and are a little random in pattern which just adds to the charm. Great purchase overall!

I needed something to use as a surface to place my Nativity on. I've used straw in the past, but frankly it's just too messy. I thought a jute runner might be perfect. As I was browsing the reviews on Amazon I saw that another customer had looked for the same thing in the past and settled on this runner. I am happy to say that based on his review I ordered this and I am so happy that I did. It is well made, the perfect color, has no odor, lays flat and I am pleased with the way it looks. I absolutely love this runner and will be using it all year round too, not just once a year.

THERE WAS NO SMELL. It looks so pretty as a runner on top of my long chest of drawers next to the kitchen table next to the dining room window. I love the colors, the length and the woven look. NOW if only my cats would stop messing with it! They keep moving it around when they play ontop of it!!

Looks good on my coffee table, nice color. Four stars because there are a couple of loose threads but overall a cute runner.

It's difficult to find table runners smaller than 72 inches. Also, most table runners are linen or lace and look old-fashioned. This jute table runner is a perfect size at 36 inches for my 53 inch maple buffet/console. I did not want a runner that draped off the sides yet needed something to hide some of the top surface which had gently used scratches and discolorations. The neutral color, weave, and jute material allows my pottery pieces to show up/contrast against the surface and also adds "depth" or "interest" to the display. It helps protect the furniture top from additional scratching. Love this item and wish they would make more sizes--maybe a 48 inch or 56 inch runner--and shapes--maybe a round with a 18 inch to 20 inch diameter or an 18 inch to 20 inch long oval. Appears to be well made with the only negative being a dust that appears to come out of the jute fibers. This negative shouldn't be a problem since the runner will rarely be moved.

I ordered this because I have a long island in my kitchen. I wanted something colorful to put on it, and this was an excellent choice! I've always been a fan of braided rugs, and this is the same type weave. The colors are so pretty! I'm very pleased with the purchase. When I first received it, it had that typical "jute" smell. I just laid it out, and the smell went away after about a day. That's expected, though, with natural fibers like this. If you're looking for something to give your space a homey feel, this is a great choice.
