When I first received it, there were no instructions, and honestly, I never thought I would need any, for this type of product. Well........ Suppose to be a "pop up" indicator, when you run low on chlorine. Not sure how to make that work. So I use it the opposite way. I put in at least 2, 3" tablets and it makes the red chlorine tongs, stick up. I guess when it goes down, you need more chlorine????? And you have to have a minimum of two 3" tablets to make it work this way. My old one, that rotted in the AZ sun, actually did pop up and was wonderful. I like the actual pop up indicator much better than this one, but oh well. Anyway, I just received this, and I have no idea how well this will last, in the AZ sun. Nothing here in AZ wears out, it just rots in the sun. The plastic eventually fails from sun and chlorine tablets.
