BRS410 4 x 10 120 Watt Car Speaker, Sold Individually

Despite what the description says, this is a TWO PACK of speakers. That's right, even though the box that shows up says "Replacement Speaker" on it, when you open it up, there are TWO speakers in there. Oh, and elsewhere on the box it says "Contains 2 Speakers", but someone at Amazon apparently missed this. So you can look at this as getting a bonus speaker, or getting saddled with twice as many speakers as you wanted and having to figure out which of your friends also have a 1960s vintage vehicle that uses a 4X10 speaker. As far as the speaker itself goes, it fits perfectly and sounds great (well, compared to the rotted out cardboard cone that was in my '66 Mustang in the first place). Oh, and that old speaker had a magnet about the size of a thimble, whereas the BRS410 has a big ol' magnet that looks like a hockey puck by comparison, so the power handling capacity and precision will be a lot better than you actually need for the crappy old AM radio your old Detroit iron came with. If you're concerned that your original speaker is an 8 Ohm speaker, and these are 4 Ohm speakers, don't worry; it just means that the BRS410 is more efficient than the old one, so you can crank it up until your radio distorts and annoy your neighbors with the crappy political or religious or sports or Mexican music programming that are all that's left of AM broadcast. So five stars for these replacement speakers, but one star for the sad carcass of popular music on the tinny Amplitude Modulation electromagnetic spectrum broadcast system.

I'm powering this speaker with a 200w BOSS amp as a center front channel in the factory location for a 85' Grand Prix. The fit is good and the speaker is shallow enough to sit on top of the air ducts. The mounting tabs line up with the factory holes. I had to clearance the speaker grill a small amount to sit flush without hitting the speaker trim. I stuffed the speaker cavity with polyfill to control the resonance. The sound quality is fine for a budget 4x10. I didn't want to buy two speakers since I only was installing one so this was a great buy. With the amp it handles the mid range great, trying to drive deep bass has given me some distortion. I will say that it puts out all of the sound I need up front and tuned correctly it gives me a nice punch to balance out the 6x9s in the rear. You'll see in the photo I had to add some foam tape to the speaker grill to keep it from floating above the dash when I'm at full volume.

this speaker was cheap so i purchased it.. it was for the dash of my 1973 dodge charger... it really rounded out my stereo system. not only was the sound quality good for the money, but i received a pair of speakers for the one price. if your on a budget and would like a really decent speaker for the buck i recommend this..

Well made would highly recommend looks and Sounds great I have the new 2024 jvc head unit wattage 55x4…. so I hooked rear speaker wires together and it has 110 watts going to this 1 4x10 speaker and it rated for 120 watts I believe…highs and Lowe’s sound great just make sure you break it in slowly……don’t doubt Boss!! gonna order the other one great factory changeout replacements for Chevy S10 owners!! Or any vehicle with 4x10’s

Cheap speaker. It works, but don't expect much. Good rubber and plastic instead of paper....I liked that. However the vocals really suffer.

I use this for the center dash speaker in my 1970 Chevy pickup had to modify a little bit of the mounting but works great sounds good
