Dakine Women's Garden Laptop Backpack

I knew going in that the "garden" variety of the Dakine line was the smallest. That said, I can fit my organic chemistry textbook, biology textbook (my two largest books) and five notebooks within the backpack and still comfortably zip it up. Six notebooks was too many however. Although when zipped at full capacity, my water bottle fits precariously in the side pocket.The backpack is very stylish (Juno), and seems very well constructed. I tried to spray water through the fabric and was unsuccessful. Also, the front zipper pocket contains a row of pockets, the larger ones lined with fleece like in the sunglasses compartment. There is a zipper pocket within the front zipper pocket as well. Furthermore, the laptop pocket in the main compartment is quite large, my 17' laptop fits in quite well.I like this backpack very much and look forward to using it for years to come.

This is my second backpack through this company (same style). I love them! Durable and stylish (well, as stylish as a utilitarian pack can get). I use it for commuting to work in the city and can fit a pair of shoes, yoga clothes and lunch, on most days. Not a ton of room for a weekend trip, but good for a day trip or an overnight if you don't need a lot. Does great in snow and rain. Lots of well placed pockets and a nice compartment for a laptop.

I bought this as a diaper bag for the beach and hiking. It is the perfect size because it fits a good amount of stuff but isn't too big. I am short so most bags are way too long and big for my back. There are plenty of nice pockets for organizing. The colors are nice and sort of calming really. The only issue I have with this bag is that it is very stiff, the straps are really rigid and aren't very comfortable.I hope this gets better as I use it more and break it in.

The bag looks good but it's going back. The fabric was much stiffer than I expected and just didn't sit right on my back. I also didn't like that there was no chest clip (keeps the straps together). For laptop bags I've noticed this really helps to help the weight of the laptop be distributed evenly especially when you carry the bag for long periods of time.These are all things that are my preference. The bag itself looked well-constructed and durable. Dakine is a good brand but this bag just wasn't a good fit for my needs.

Great backpack with enough pockets for storage. Stores my laptop safely and seems to be water resistant. Furthermore, I really like the purple, its a very dark eggplant color. Perfect for school and has a lifetime warranty. Amaze balls. Also it came in the mail super fast, I think I waited like 3 days. Overall its a great girls backpack. Still using it after 4 years of my purchase!

After waiting for what seemed like forever...this backpack arrived via ups which I wasn't expecting...but when I opened the box, the backpack that I received was considerably darker than the one pictured. The most appealing thing about this bp was the color and I was sent a drab, dark, boyish style bp. Not happy at all! I will have to put some serious thought into keeping this bp....just wish it wasn't such a huge difference in color....

Bought this for my mother! Gread Backpack! Didin't have any problems so far! I don't think we will any time soon!I like all DaKine Products! I get a new Dakine backpack every two years (yes they last two years) for school. They hold up to everything, honestly the only reason I get a new one ever other year is to change up the pattern. I love how many pockets are in this backpack, every aspect of the bag is very practical. I love how it has a slim look even when it is stuffed full. You can throw this pack into the washer for a clean several times without having to worry about fading or wear.
