Nice device for dusting cameras. Some have commented on the large size. I prefer this as you can wrap your whole hand around it, and thus, squeeze harder and create a stronger blast of air. The rubber is thick and soft. Kind of feels like those old red rubber balls they used to use in Phys.Ed. classes when I was a kid. I imagine it will last a long time, and should stay free of cracks in the rubber. The tip is made of thick, sturdy plastic, and is well secured to the bulb. The stream of air generated is sufficient to clear dust from cameras and lenses, and for those inexperienced in cleaning a camera, it can prove much safer. I still keep micro-fiber cloths on hand, but rarely ever use them. As far as using it for computers, it would serve well for clearing dust and crumbs from a keyboard. In case you're thinking of using this for the inside of a computer, the air pressure generated would not be enough for a task such as that. Even with a computer equipped with air filters, some dust always gets in, and to clean off intake, exhaust, and cpu fans, as well as power supplies, video cards and heatsinks, you'll need something that creates a stronger, sustained blast of air. However, for camera bodies, sensors, lenses and other small electronics, it's a great tool. The price? Considering what you spend on camera equipment, this is a solid investment.

I picked one of these up to see if it could save us some money and waste, and I must say I'm impressed. It's not as powerful as compressed air, which is still needed on occasion, but it works very well for daily maintenance and extends the time between heavy-duty cleanings significantly. My husband and I both use it regularly on our PC's and desks, and we like it well enough that we gave one to a techie friend as a gift. There's a bit of a rubbery odor when the item is new, but it isn't too bad, and fades after it's been out of the package for a bit. It does require some effort to use, but I consider this an added benefit, as my hands have always been a bit weak and can use the exercise; this also improves with regular use. It's also quite well-made and sturdy. We've had ours for about six months now, and despite daily use it's still in like-new condition. I really like this item, and will not hesitate to buy more of them anytime I find an occasion to do so.

I've recently bought the Giottos Large Rocket Air Blaster as an upgrade from the small one I got in a digital camera cleaning kit. The nose of the small one tends to bend easily because of the small size, but the large rocket is very easy to control and provides a good stream of air to knock most dirt from off your sensor and around your lenses. The red color is also pretty nice. It's not as drab as the standard black everything. Being only $10, it's probably the cheapest thing in your camera kit, but most reliable. It's a must have for people who have DSLRs. Don't settle for a medium or small one because you think the large is bulky. You'll thank yourself for getting the larger one. In regards to use, make sure the air that is coming in from around the bottom of the rocket is clean, as that is the air going into the rocket. Maybe a filter installed somewhere in the rocket would be a future improvement.

Works very well but the price has skyrocketed the past 8 years. It used to be $10. Still, I liked it so much over the alternatives that I bought two more.

I bought my first one of these 15 years ago and within a short period I bought 2 more for using all around the house. They are so useful around the house. I use it to blow the dust off all of my items on my desk on a regular basis. Very easy to direct your airflow so that you don't accidentally knock off other items while cleaning. A few puffs of this each day and you won't have to dust so much. One stays in my camera bag as well for keeping my lens dust and dirt free when out in the field. Combine this with a microfiber cloth and you can get every shot without having to clean up so much in post-processing.

Packs a punch. No wonder it's the brand many photographers recommend to bring along when shooting outside. I used it for lenses, sensor, prisms, mirrors, both analog and digital cameras. The rubber is big enough that it holds a good volume of air, and flexible enough that you don't get cramps pressing it. It's definitely a good tool that I carry with me everywhere I shoot.
