The adjustable buckle slides pretty easy, I've had to tie a knot in these straps in certain applications to keep it from slowly changing lengths on it's own. However, most of the time I use these at full length so it's not an issue. I've used them to hang hay bags, water buckets, secure stall doors, etc. Basically, they have come in handy during traveling and showing for endless applications.
