I bought the SwingRail to help improve swing mechanics, and it’s been very effective. It teaches the swing by feel, making it easy to understand the correct hand path without confusing instructions. The instant feedback is great—if the swing is off, the Velcro strap releases right away, helping build proper muscle memory without forcing movement. The instructional videos are helpful and easy to follow. It works best off a batting tee but also does well with front toss and controlled drills. I bought this for my son who is ten. He plays competitive baseball. We bought this to help fine-tune his swing and improve his contact on the ball. He just started using SwingGrail. It takes time to get used to it. My son uses it almost every day for about twenty minutes. I think it's still too early to tell but at practice yesterday, he was making very good contact on the ball. I also noticed his bat speed has improved which makes it very helpful when facing fast throwing pitchers.

This turned out to be not helful for my smaller 11 yr old player. Even with the strap tightened and adjusted properly, it was simply too big and was forcing her to have to pull the knob too far forward to get the hanger forward and out of the loop. She already has a really good swing I just wanted to help solidify it. If the plastic part attached to the bat was 30% shorter it would probably work for her but as it is it required too much travel before rotating. She had to pull the knob waaay past the contact point before rotating. It a good idea.

Funny story...My son is a small 11u player. He casts but just a little and not every swing, very nice swing but slightly out from his body. Bought this to correct that slight issue, and I can see this working to fix it over time but the funny part is when he takes a fast swing and casts the Velcro breaks and the strap slaps him right in his face!!! I fell off the bucket laughing the first time because that is instant feedback If I ever seen it!! He is not a fan yet but I did see a slight improvement after my amusement and had him do slow dry swings for about 10 min before we did tee work without the device. We will continue with the dry swing in slower motion before I subject him to the next beatdown. 2nd day update....after having my son read some.of these reviews and him seeing some detailed success stories he was willing to put in work and gave it another chance... so today before his team practice I had him do 50 dry swings slowly, he finished with about 15 dry fast swings and guess what.....He swung without triggering the feedback. He was excited. We went to practice and he hit so well the coach asked me if I had him do private batting lesson with a hitting coach. His teammates were making comments about how hard and far he was hitting the ball every swing. He has never put together that type of show so I am gonna give it a 5th star and highly recommend this to anyone from 60lbs and up. 3mo update....Well my son leads his team in BA, SLG, OBP, and contact %. He plays 11u travelball on a fairly good team and is the 2nd to smallest player out there. He is also playing up at 12u for some tournaments and is outhitting the bigger, older kids. And I give most of the credit to this product. It has fine tuned his swing to make all aspects better and more consistant. He uses this product everyday by himself in the cage off a tee and almost never triggers the device anymore. He will do Tee, soft toss and front toss with it on just to challenge himself. I can see how a kid that is rough with mechanics may quit before giving it a chance but try to convince them to stick it out because it will help if you allow enough time to build that muscle memory.

Tried this out with one of my kids and was amazed at the results. My daughter has a very pushy swing with a shoulder dip - and this was able to help her make that mind/body connection with what she was doing. After about an hour of working this and a few other drills to show how bat path should feel it was night and day with her swing in both tee work and soft toss. 100% a great buy, self explanatory to set up, and was great to see my kid smile once she started to understand it.

I'm a firm believe that reps are king when working on hitting. The SWINGRAIL provides a high rep opportunity all while enforcing nearly perfect swing mechanics. Not only will it eliminate hitches, but a player can get quality reps regardless of field conditions, cage availability, or someone to pitch to you. If your player owns/uses a SWINGRAIL they will become a better hitter. We saw this first hand with our local middle school. We had several players that had minimal experience with fast-pitch, but after several weeks of SWINGRAIL work, all of our players started keeping the barrel in the zone and making solid contact. IT WORKS - 100%. The only way this product fails your hitter; is not having one in your hitter's bat bag for them to use!

The whole design is off. My 11 Yr old grandson who plays travel took 4 nice swings bur the 5th one was a problem. The Velcro slid off the bat and came back and hit him right in the eye. He went down in pain. So scary. Thought we were going to ER. I was watching him, and he was not messing around, He is a good player and knows how to swing. I am returning. Maybe the box should read wear safety glasses so you don't loss an eye

Was getting desperate, so I tried the Swing rail . Can’t believe the difference in such a short time. I’m not a baseball guy, so I can’t speak to if it will help everyone, but the difference is clear with my 12 YO.

Nice way to teach kids how to swing But I removed a star because I feel it is expensive

Kids won’t use it because it’s too complicated to do independently. Over priced for a strap and a piece of plastic. Had to watch videos to understand what to do and how to set it up as instructions in the box aren’t helpful.
