Nice. *by K***3 on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on March 2, 2017* This is a clever idea for a handheld "bottle." You really don't have to hold this bottle, you stick your fingers through the finger spaces and then it straps to your wrist and stays in place which is nice. It's a also a collapsable bladder, not a bottle, so it gets smaller as you consume the water. That means you have to keep tightening the strap as you drink but it also means that, once it's empty, it's really small; you could probably even scrunch it up and put it in a jacket pocket if you wanted to. The bit valve itself doesn't leak but you do have to be careful to get it screwed on securely and tightly which is a bit awkward with a flexible bladder but not too difficult. One mild problem that I should have figured out before I bought it is that it is harder to wear this with mittens instead of gloves. The design pretty much assumes that you can separate your fingers and stick them through their slots; I can still make it work when I wear mittens but it's not quite as comfortable or secure as it is with gloves. There is a zip pocket which is big enough for keys and gels. This makes my 5 mile runs possible and I forget it's even there.One downside of the thin bladder skin is that it does not keep cold for the whole run. Towards the back half , the water will get fairly warm. It helps to throw the bladder into the freezer a few hours before a run to prolong the cold water a bit. Not kidding. -Nothin' but power lines and sun overhead. And hawks.I wondered about this design, but I'm glad I made the jump. Super-comfortable, zero sloshing regardless of water level.With traditional bottles, my fingers/hand would get crampy from having to hold on firmly all the time, and it didn't feel right when I switched it to my non-dominant hand. Plus sloshing makes me nuts, and I don't like the hydration belt style because I already have a minimalist beltpack for my phone and ID that I don't want to change.This soft flask fits my hand very comfortably -- you really don't "grab" the flask at all, it just kinda lies comfortably in your grip. Your forearm actually does most of the work, not that much work is really required because even when full this whole setup is quite light.I'm right-handed and carry it in my right hand, but I never feel the need to switch hands at all, unlike my old bottle. That said, this design works equally well for left- or right-handed folks.The velcro strap also can be snugged-up on the fly so that the fit stays snug even as the water volume decreases as you drink.Highly, highly recommended.
