## Description

Product Description Cheap & Effective Grit Salt Elixir's Rock Salt is a great value option for de-icing outdoor areas this autumn and winter. Our Gritting Salt is ideal for clearing any outdoor areas of unwanted snow and ice. The salt can be applied to driveways, paths, pavements, steps, entrances, roads and garden areas. As well as quickly clearing areas of fresh snow and ice it can also be used as a preventative measure before any ice has formed. The salt mix works by lowering the freezing point of water which makes it more difficult for roads and paths to freeze and is highly effective down to temperatures as low as -10 Degrees Celsius. We recommend scattering 40-50g per m² which is roughly a handful. This means a single kilogram is enough salt to cover 20-25m² or around 215-270 ft², and a 20kg bag is enough to treat 400-500m² (4300-5400ft²). Keep Paths, Steps & Driveways Safe Be prepared this winter for any icy mornings and slippery surfaces with our bags and tubs of rock salt. We offer two types of gritting salt, Brown or White Rock Salt. Both are equally effective at melting ice and snow, and have the same operating temperature range. White Rock Salt has the added benefit of leaving very little residue after melting ice and snow. Paths, driveways and pavements will be left in pristine condition, making it the superior choice for areas near doorways and entrances. Both of our rock salt options are easy to use. They can be applied manually by hand scattering or with a shovel, or with gritters and mechanical spreaders. Please note: Due to the trace elements in rock salt it is not suitable for use on lawns, raised beds, plants or ponds.
