Outstanding speed boost for your system!
The Intel Optane Memory M10 32GB is a brilliant storage accelerator! It dramatically speeds up loading times on systems with larger HDDs, making the computer feel much snappier and more responsive. The M.2 PCIe form factor is compact and easy to install. It works seamlessly as a caching solution and the difference in boot times and application launch speeds is very noticeable. Excellent product for anyone looking to upgrade their system performance without replacing the hard drive!

Optane is a nice caching drive for HDD (and only HDD -- don't use with SSD! )
I recently built a new computer for my nephew to run his virtual reality games. I had heard of Optane on the tech channels but never used it. The product acts as a fast, low-latency caching drive that uses a combination of hardware and software to intelligently cache frequently accessed data. In essence, it allows you to run a (much) cheaper HDD but get storage speeds comparable to an SSD. The advantages are 1. price, since Optane + a 1TB HDD is still considerably cheaper than a 1TB SSD, and 2. storage density, since HDD come in sizes way larger than SSD. There are serious limitations you should understand going in. First, it won't work great in all cases, such as when you are working with very large files. Second, you need to match the Optane product to a newer Intel chipset motherboard specifically designed to use Optane. And third, you can only use Optane with your primary HDD; it won't work with drive arrays that I'm aware of. Still, installation wasn't too involved and on the computer I built it reduced boot times to something like 4 seconds; not bad at all in my book. If you are looking to build a basic-ish computer and want a decent amount of storage but have a limited budget, I would seriously consider Optane.

It works amazing!
I built my own PC this last Christmas and I wanted to take my build to the next level. I use my PC primarily for gaming and store all of my files on a 2tb Seagate Barracuda Hard Drive. This means that while I had a lot of space for games it was slow. I heard about Intel Optane through a popular YouTube named Jackfrags, much love to him please Intel treat this man well, and decided to give it a shot as it is significantly cheaper than a new SSD. It took all of 20 minutes to install in my ASUS Motherboard and works flawlessly. For me personally boot times for large files were about a third of the time. If you have an ASUS Motherboard go online and ASUS has a guide on which motherboards will work with it and how to set it up. If you use old style hard drives this is a fabulous replacement to getting a new $200 SSD. Thank you Intel.

it actually does what it says
It actually does what it says. Boot time as well as loading times for programs I use on a daily basis are considerably faster. I will be purchasing another one soon for another computer that I'm working on. The only reason I don't rate it 5 stars is because set up was kind of annoying for me. Physically installing it was simple but you do have to change settings in the BIOS and I also had to update my BIOS. After that update and enabling it my computer was crashing to a blue screen trying to boot. Long story short I had to look up a way to fix it and once I did it works great. If you don't know your way around a computer have someone that does install it.

Great...when it works...
After you get it working it does indeed make a big difference in HDD performance, but the software is its Achilles Heel. First, Intel RST is forced on all your drives even though you're only pairing one of them. Also, and maybe I'm missing something, it keeps automatically disabling itself every few days without warning or explanation. I tried googling a solution but nothing comes up. So now it's basically unusable and I'm super bummed. :( EDIT: Tried a last ditch effort by updating Optane software and motherboard firmware. Still no go. Final verdict, this thing is too much of pain to set up and too unreliable. For about the same cost you can just buy a small SSD and just stick particularly slow games on that. As inconvenient as that sounds, it is infinitely less annoying than this thing turned out to be! >:(

Game Changer!
Wow, this module is a huge step forward in hybrid HDD/SSD technology. I highly recommended brushing up on all of the requirements for installation with your MOBO manufacturer as well as using Intel's online resources, however once you have the basics down, this installation really isn't too bad. In about 15 minutes, I was able to have the hardware installed, software installed, and drive correctly optimized. In terms of performance, I am using the Optane chip to accelerate a secondary HDD. My Main OS drive is an M.2 SSD, therefore I wanted to use this on my 4TB WD Black drive to optimize applications/games/music production/large files. The difference is night and day for this particular application. Synthetic read/write speeds (CrystalDiskMark, sequential) BASELINE: 180MB/s R - 175MB/s W OPTIMIZED: 1397MB/s R - 359.5MB/s W In terms of real life performance differences, games load 4x as fast, and moving large files around for music production (Ableton as well as non-DAW) is twice as responsive. Good luck everyone :)

A no brainer! light speed fast!
Well, i got used to the speed of my pc, core i7-8700 (non-K) plus 16gb ram and 1tb hdd (non-ssd), it was "normal fast" when i get home, get a shower, grab some coffee of the kitchen and after i did all that i knew my pc was ready to work on... but then i installed this little monster... after a no-brainer hardware and software install the first time booting and after the complete install, the main desktop slapped my face back and forth... i think i created a black hole here! it's BEYOND FAST! i haven't even started to use my regular audio software and other games yet but when i started'em it was... beyont light speed fast! now i can feel the difference between my connection speed and the speed of response of an application that requires internet access... A MUST TRY! A MUST HAVE!

Bought to accelerate mass storage drive
I bought this optane module to accelerate my 8tb secondary drive. I saw videos on how simple it is to accelerate your drive if you have an 8th gen intel cpu, and I decided to try it out. I installed the module, went through the setup process, and now my drive is faster! After shutting down and powering my system back on, I open the intel optane app and I see it is in the process of disabling the optane memory from my system. I didn’t initiate this at all, and I’m not sure what’s happening. I wait for the process to complete, but it’s just loading for about 8 hours. It finally finishes and my system restarts. My secondary drive is no longer detected by windows. After swapping the sata port on my hard drive and pulling out the optane module, I can see my files and it’s the same as if the optane was never installed. I decide to give it another try, and the same thing happens where it just disables itself, but without taking 8hours. Seeing how it can’t stay enabled if I intend to shut down my machine, I give up on the optane process and take it out of my computer. Few weeks pass by and during a reinstall of windows, I check intels website on how to prepare my system for optane with necessary drivers. I proceed to go through the extrenuous process of altering my windows ISO install file with intels drivers, and I put back the intel optane. Same exact issue occurs so I RMA the drive back to intel, since they have no further troubleshooting methods. I’m waiting on my replacement as I’m writing this, and I intend to update my review if the replacement module works correctly. I gave this one star since this process was intended to be simple, but it has turned into a process of risking my files and getting no clear direction from intel’s customer support.

Best from the rest
Best from the rest I paired it with my 250 Samsung evo and believe me my PC is flying. Super fast boot and usage very easy to setup and use. And it was delivered within 2 weeks form the US. Thanks Amazon and Intel

Klare kaufempfehlung. Bei fragen, ein kontaktieren.
