Splash About Kids Floatsuits - Buoyancy Suits

My daughter had one of this in a smaller size since she was 1 years old and it was the best thing ever. We never worried about it slipping off her or deflating. She loved wearing it because she was able to swim around with the rest of the children. The inner floatation pieces are removable but we never felt the need to do that. It lasted 2.5 years of frequent summer use until the fabric started to wear thin. And I absolutely wanted to get a new one for her made by the same company. The larger size is made the same way, however the holes where you can remove the floats (the floats are made of material similar to the long noodles that you use in the pool) are too large and pieces kept falling out. I finally had to sew the hole openings smaller to prevent this. This suit is very stretchable so it lasts more than a year. I have put it over sun protection shirts, wetsuits and other bathing suits. The flotation pieces can be removed one by one (each panel contains two) as you feel your child is becoming a better swimming and need less reliance on the floatations. Overall I love this flotation bathing suit. Despite the flaw in the opening I will still give it a 5 star given how well the first one held up.

Bought this for my granddaughter who is 3 years old. I have to say this is the best little float suit that I have purchased. I am very protective when it comes to making sure she is safe and cannot get hurt in any way when it comes to swimming, so I was skeptical about it at first because I have bought so many that did not work, But I decided to go ahead and try this one also. She absolutely loved it and as soon as we put her in it, she was all over the pool. It kept her balanced and she didn't go face forward like the others had done when we put them on her or like the floats with the ring that kept her arms restricted to were she couldn't learn how to use her arms to swim..I wouldn't recommend it for a child that hasn't learned to keep themselves balanced very well, but if they can, then this is the only way to go. The sizes do run small, she is 3 years old and around 34 lbs so I bought a 2-4 year float, it still worked but I ordered another in size 4-6 which was a lot better because she is tall for 3 years old so the length was just a little short for her with the first one. I would definitely recommend this float to anyone.

Although this swim suit was soft and very cute, it fit way too small and tore after only the second use. I ended up replacing it with a much cheaper, yet better built suit.

After reading reviews stating this item runs small, I ordered the size 4-6 for my 3 y/o granddaughter who is average height and weight. The suit was very tight and almost to the point of being uncomfortable. My granddaughter wore it without complaint until the zipper broke. The first 2 teeth broke out of the plastic zipper and the way the suit is sewn, it is not possible to get the zipper back on track. I would expect a product at this price point to have a metal zipper, instead of plastic. I was willing to pay $40 for this because I thought we would be able to pass this along once my granddaughter did not need it anymore.
