I hand washed it with enzyme cleaner pre-treatment (soaked for 15 min), regular laundry detergent, & a 10 min soak in laundry sanitizer. No smell! I laid it out to dry & in an hour it was COMPLETELY dry. I was shocked. If your cat has a serious urination issue, it might not work if saturated very heavily, but for the occasional vomit or miss of the litter box, this is an excellent option. 10/10 would recommend!! The size is perfect, its a large mat which covers a good area. I have one cat that pees on litter mats instead of in the box sometimes (this has been a struggle for a while unfortunately). The mat itself is easy to use, thick enough and dense enough to not leak through, easy to wash in the tub or outside, collects tracked litter easily, and i find it very durable. I also like that smell does not linger after a good wash (i do recommend some sort of enzyme spray to really get out smells).
