Invisible Hold Mounting Tape, 1" x 150", Clear, 2-Pack

This year we bought a few outdoor solar wall light to help light the outside of the house. Since we have aluminum siding, I didn't want to use screws to mount the light, so I bought this tape to install the lights on the house. So far, we have had heavy rain and cold weather and this tape has held up well. I also have a hook installed on the inside of a kitchen cabinet door to store acrylic lids of different sizes. The lids are heavy, so the mounting adhesive that came with the hooks wouldn't hold the weight. I used this tape on the hooks and it is holding well. The 1" width is perfect as it can be used for large or small items to be hung. For larger items, you can use a couple of strips. The strips are best installed vertically as this adds strength to the bond. You also need to be sure of placement since the bond is immediate and difficult to remove. I did find it a bit difficult to remove the backing strip on the tape, but used my thumb nail to lift a corner and was able to pull the backing off. I also like that this tape is a clear color as it does not show once installed. I, personally, didn't notice any odor from the adhesive, but this would quickly dissipate if you do notice an odor. Although this tape is great for indoor and outdoor use, the weather proof quality for outdoor use is where it shines. It holds on any surface that you don't want to use screws for installation whether smooth or rough. I would definitely recommend this tape for permanent mounting indoors or outdoors. I am still finding more uses for this wonderful mounting tape. I hope this review was helpful for you.

I really like this gorilla tape and have ordered it a few times. It seems like I use it for everything. I mostly use it out on my back porch, which is my little oasis. I recently purchased a photography background and used it on my back porch because I thought it was pretty. I used this double-sided tape to hang it up on the siding. I know that it will work well to hold up during all sorts of weather and temperatures. I moved into my apartment about a year and a half ago and I actually used this tape to hang up string lights on my fence. I had a couple pieces start to fall down after a year and a half that I recently replaced, but most of it is still holding up very well a year and a half is a long time outside in temperatures over 100°, direct sunlight every day, wild wind, tornadoes, & ice storms, etc. I’m going to add some pictures of my porch lights that are hung up using only this tape. Again, I’m kind of shocked that it has lasted a year and a half already. It is made of a thicker tape that stretches. On the package it also states that it holds up better, if you place the tape horizontally. A little piece goes along way. You don’t need to use big strips of this. I just use a little tiny pieces to hang up my lights. I would say about 1” x 1”. When unrolling the tape the side that has the plastic peeling on it, is the side that is more sticky. That is the side that I attached to the brick or siding or wall or whatever I’m attaching the tape to. Also, after cutting the strip of tape that you want, sometimes it can be difficult to peel off the plastic. A little trick I use is to use my thumbnail to pinch off a teeny tiny bit of the corner and then I stretch the tape and it will release at the corner enough to peel off the plastic. I like that this tape is clear and see-through and visually, people cannot really tell that I hung my lights with clear tape. On the included pictures I have used this tape on my lights up top, my lights on the edge of my fence, to hang up a backdrop, and on my curtains to attach the side of my curtains to the brick. Excellent value.

Good strong glue for many projects But it does not hold the electric strip to the tile. Keeps falling out. Very desapointed

I normally don’t give reviews for items like this until a certain amount of time has lapsed to determine the durability. Also, the protective backing is a pain to peel off. I had to use a fine tipped needle nosed tweezer to get the backing to part from the tape. Once you’re able to get it started the rest was easy to peel off. I used this double sided tape to affix a spiked metal strip to my vinyl fence and so far everything is good even with multiple days of hot temps in the high 90’s. Obviously I don’t know yet if will be easy enough to remove if I need to add a refresher so I have to update this review if it comes to that. Overall it’s nice a sticky and holds up to the elements. I even have a spike strip that’s affixed vertically and there has been zero issues even with high 90’s temperatures and multiple thunderstorms pouring down like the niagara Falls. After using about 10 feet of the tape, it looks like there’s about a couple feet worth left so the amount you get is about accurate. The tape is stretchy so you can extend out a little to make it longer but, stretching it too much might affect the adhesive so be mindful of that.

well it was easy to use, but my item fell in only 4 hours. If you keep your room cool with AC, the mount won't last. I won't blame the product.

Do not waste your time buying this product. I hung up a few plaques and pictures in my shop with the product. I wiped down all the surfaces before I stuck the plaques and pictures up. Every single one of them eventually fell down. A total of 11 pictures and plaques fell off the walls. One of the areas was a sheet rock wall. Another area was just plywood and again let me stress this. I wipe every area down really well to make sure it was clean before I use the product because I wanted them to stay there for years. Within three months everything failed down. I’ve cleaned up broken picture frames and also damaged some of my plaques. I’m taking the time to write this review because I don’t want anybody else to waste their money on something that it’s not gonna hold something as light as a 8x10 picture frame; and yes, I used more than enough of the product. Every picture and every plaque was completely surrounded on the back with the product and it still did not hold. The durability and the hold of the product is a joke. The removable is very easy. I promise you that, it will come off whether you want it to or not.

I bought the Gorilla Tough & Clear Double Sided Mounting Tape (Clear Tape, 1" x 150") to hang some lightweight items indoors and a couple of things outside. It definitely has a strong hold at first and I like that it’s clear so it’s not super noticeable. It’s also nice that it’s weatherproof because I wanted to stick a small sign outside and it did hold up for a while in the sun and rain. The problem is it’s not as “permanent” as I hoped. After a few days the outdoor stuff started peeling at the edges, and indoors it sometimes loses grip if the surface isn’t 100% smooth. I also found it’s not easy to remove without leaving sticky residue behind, which is frustrating if you want to change something later. Cutting it to size can be tricky too since it’s so sticky and tends to gum up scissors. Overall it works fine for light or temporary projects, and the roll is a good length, but for heavier things or long term outdoor use it’s not perfect. I’d give it 3 stars because it’s good for some jobs but not quite the all-around solution I expected.

Used it to hold up bobble head Spider-Man on the dashboard of my car. The tape melted within a week and poor Spider-Man flopped down. Scotch 3M holds up another toy and that has not budged. Need I say more.

Puede ser un poco chiclosa al cortar, así que recomiendo usar un exacto para cortar (con las tijeras puedes tener un poquito de problemas). La he usado para pegar decoraciones y funciona excelente.
